Did they remove the owner's manual from the app?

I don't use the app to look up or add service records, nor check my warranty date. I do that on the 'Vehicle Dashboard' on the Ford.com web site. All of that functionality is still there.

When I do use the app, it's to start the vehicle, lock or unlock the doors, and check the range (to see if I have to get gas soon). I also check tire pressures and oil life remaining, both of which are still present.

So for what I use it for, it is not worthless.
Without the self service doc functionality the app is pretty much useless to me now. I turned off all connectivity features because I don't want Ford to sell my info to any interested third parties like insurance companies.

Sorry. Your choice. Others use it for other reasons.

Correct, no longer pdf nor the ‘vin’ specific online version is made ava via the app.

Device in hand is handier (oops) than device on lap. Not sure if the web portal retains any prior information. But yeah kind of a bummer when an update reduces functionality.

It's frankly ridiculous that Ford removed those features. It's looking like they want to push people to do all service through their dealership network which would be garbage for those of us that can do it on our own.

So since you don't get a paper copy of the owner's manual and now it's no longer in the app, you have to resort to finding a PDF of it online? Just lol

Yea, I can be pretty dense sometimes. I hadn't been scrolling down far enough while in the Dashboard page. :facepalm:As you showed with your screenshots, you can still add records.

Thanks.

It sucks. I can't even check my tire pressures or oil life monitor anymore. Unless my lack of tech ability is not allowing me to access these features. Why do they do this , when it works?
it's really confusing how to access it, but you can check that by going to the "Service" tab on your FordPass app
S650 Mustang Updated Ford Pass app 1717056113242-

then tapping on "Vehicle Health"
S650 Mustang Updated Ford Pass app 1717056144705-ck

then you will have access to your tire pressures, oil life, and odometer

New update but I do not believe the PSI numbers are correct.

Edit: The PSI numbers are fine. It just took a moment to update.

It seems like a step backwards to me. I liked having the fuel guage and the odometer on the opening page. Fuel guage is now gone, replaced with range. Not nearly as useful to me. Odometer is there after you dig for it. I want warranty staus and ESP dates back as well. If I could switch back to the old version, I would until they restore previous functionality.

New apps should add functionality, not remove existing functionality.

Just using range is no doubt to make one version work for EV and ICE, along with changing "start" to "turn vehicle on".

Ford has deleted several features, one of which is you can no longer add service records.

Warranty information (see ESP) which used to be listed, highlighted in a post above: gone.

@Ford Motor Company , from my perspective, loss of these and other features renders the app all but worthless. I'll be removing it, with the hopes attributes countless people have come to use and appreciate, return.
I agree 100%, I deleted mine also. Just my personal opinion folks.

Having owned a Tesla in the past, I always looked at charge %, not range. That would be the equivalent of a fuel guage. If they are that worried about it, show both. Show the fuel gage/charge %, with range underneath it. Solves both needs.
I hope the app is smart enough to tell the difference between ICE and EV, but perhaps not. Disappointing.
