HAH! Ever see the best car chase of all time?! Bullitt! WHO won that?! Huh? Huh? Yea! That's right; the cool guy :sunglasses: driving the MUSTANG! NOT the evil :bandit: criminal dudes driving the Dodge; who not only got spooked and lost it, but managed to blow themselves and their prone to rust car up!
If that's not definitive proof Mustangs rule, have qualitative superiority AND cool factor and Dodges not only handle poorly, but burn easily; then I don't know what is!

No need to thank me.
Good movie but Vanishing Point was better and rings even truer today…🤣

Are you referring to one of the 3.4 million Kia’s issued a park outside notice last September because they could catch on fire, the 300,000 Tellurides recalled a few days ago also with a park outside notice, the 13 million Kia’s and Hyundais recalled with engine issues since 2010, or one of their other many other recalled vehicles? People bought Mustangs more often than Challengers or Camaros when all were available, so obviously some people actually like the Mustang? Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it a good car? Absolutely! If you don’t like it, that’s fine, but continuing to bash it on the forums is not going to get Ford’s attention and make them pay better attention to the details.

It is great having input from non-S650 owners on the forum, and it is a good place for people to learn about these cars, but if you don’t own one, think they are terrible, have no intention of buying one and are simply here to bring up the same complaints and gripes in thread after thread, then I question whether you really should be here.
These recalled KIAs have faulty seat switches so their motors can overheat…So its not as dramatic as it sounds ! Anyways you Ford brand loyalists will get more outside traffic from people who drove other brands that threw in the towel unfortunately…Pointing out what needs to be done to attract conquest buyers has nothing to do with bashing but should be seen as free consulting for the guys that run the show as even the faithful are not too excited about what Ford calls new generation…Most has stayed the same as unfortunately the quality seen in what you read here and the amount of recalls !

Why don't you go email Ford if it bothers you so much and stop clogging up the forum here with the same post over and over.

Arguably. But, in order to make it they used 5 Challengers. 4 4spd 440s and 1 383 Torque Flite.
At the climactic ending they used a high speed/power tow rig/strap; somewhat akin to the steam catapults on aircraft carriers to pull Kowalski's car into the bulldozers.

Which.................................was actually a Camaro shell (no engine or tranny) ; NOT a Challenger! The crew figured the shell would impact and flip over the top of the bulldozers as it exploded from the pyrotechnic charge. Intead we got the explosion and "giant curl" featured in the movie. Pretty cool regardless.

Interesting ! Were you working on set ? Makes more sense to destroy a Camaro than a Challenger even if it was not the holy grail with the 426 Hemi…Good times/movies back then compared to the crap Hollywood has been putting out the last 20 or so years ! Funny going from Ford being the leader on the recall board to this…LOL Btw you can watch the remake of Vanishing Point on Youtube the hero driving a white Challenger and the bad guys a black Charger like Vin Diesel…👍 I really dont care what they drive as long as there is good road movie driving action & V8 soundtrack 👍And of course going back OT good quality and reliability manifested by No Recalls…I think this is what we all can agree on 🤣

All I'm saying is since this vehicle has came out there have been nothing but complaints about it I mean everyday on here someone is saying something is wrong with vehicle. There are currently 2 safety recalls already now the recall of a possible fire in the manual? I ordered 1 last year and cancelled it immediately after all the bad reports on here. I am on the side of the consumer here since I am interested in this vehicle but for the cost of it should there be any immediate issues?

Damn the movie stars ruining both cars!! Both cars are excellent vehicles to behold!

I love all cars with a V8 & a manual as also good old road movies 👍Especially when I was a kid…Easy Rider , Vanishing Point , Convoy , American Graffity and Gone in 60 Seconds had definitely an impact on my innocent soul 🤣

All I'm saying is a lot of these vehicles are already coming out with issues and these are from people who own this car not trolls. I'm just surprised is all it's a expensive vehicle especially after you add any options I have been following this forum ever since the vehicle came out and I had 1 on order but the wait was just too much I'll to wait and see longer if these issues work themselves out.

What you decide to do is up to you regarding waiting longer. However, I purchased mine in February and have no regrets. I now have a little over 4,500 miles on my car. I have driven it over the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming and just last weekend took a trip to Minnesota to spend time with our daughter. The memories have been priceless,

Car will always have issues.

If you wait until they build and sell a car that has no issues, you'll never buy one. Enjoy the wait.

I have had no issues with my DH.
