Seems like many people have their screens broken on the same spots and all have the same story. Screen is shaking/ratling while driving and screen breaks.

I wonder if a screenprotector helps from breaking in the corners like this.

So is this only happening on the screen that's directly in front of the driver and not the center screen or is it happening on both screens? Also I wonder if it makes a difference if the screens are connected (premium models) as opposed to being separate like on the base models?

I have a base GT so it has separate screens and I haven't noticed any cracks so far (knock on wood). I do have a screen protector on my center screen as my fingers are always touching it to change the radio station, etc.

Also my center screen stays quiet while my main screen makes a lot of rattling and buzzing noises depending on the day. I think a lot of it has to do with the temperature, whether the sun is beating down on it and/or the road surface your driving on. Sometimes the buzzing is down right obnoxious and pretty sad really. Honestly I don't mind the screen sticking up like it does in the middle but I really wish Ford would've integrated the other screen into the dash but whatever I guess:)

this issue is addressed in SSM 52449. "Some 2024 Mustang vehicles equipped with a mid-series instrument panel cluster display screen (minor feature code HCAAT) may exhibit a crack on the lower left-hand corner of the IPC display screen. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS) website. This crack will be internal and cannot be felt. If the crack cannot be felt, this is a warrantable condition and the IPC display screen must be replaced. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-01. For claiming, use causal part 10D885 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual."

go to your dealer, show the crack, and mention the SSM
