Whining noise from engine

Glad I saw this thread as I just noticed this noise today. The car only has 400 miles on it but it's the first day when it was warm enough to have the windows opened.

How much boost that thing running, sounds about like around 480hp. From what I can hear its got a little tad of that racecar whine when said car includes mufflers for the street.

Just joining the party! I'm getting a really bad whine from the engine. Initially thought it was the trans pump. The dealer took a look and said he thinks it's something on the engine. I've had a new alternator fitted to try and solve it but it hasn't changed. It's getting progressively worse. I would say it's almost unbearable when driving now. Annoying as hell. They don't know what to try next.

I've attached 4 short videos taken yesterday. The noise is constant as you can see. I'm deliberately holding the revs and downshifting here to capture it on video obviously but it's always there.

It's also there when revving in neutral.

Any thoughts? Is this what everyone else is calling the A10 whine? Surely this can't be considered normal? Everyone who gets in the car asks what it is...

Please excuse the horrible dirty screen. The camera picked that up for some reason.

hm that DOES sound like a whine. Its similar to mine at some extend. Initially I thought it was the fan...lol. I have noticed this in other GTs 24' models when test driving them. The fact that the dealer proposed a solution and didn't fix the problem means that is probably the transmission. The sound gets more annoyng when the trnasission fluid becomes hotter. At cold start you don't hear it. At sport mode or at manual mode is whining more. I will have the dealer look at it when i reach the 3k miles.
Do you have any other updates from your side?

Can you guys confirm this does NOT happen with a manual? Might just push me that direction. I would prefer an auto but homey dont want no 55k whine. And a manual might be fun and more true to the spirit...

Yeah I have whining as well and is very annoying and noticeable in tight streets, drive thru's and garage. I had the dealer top of the transmission fluid it was little low but still the same. dealer also told me it was normal for the performance package to do it? I dont believe him because I test drove another 2024 GT PP 10 speed and it did not make the noise. I also drove a manual and it did not have it either. I read somewhere that its the transmission pump gears are not meshed together properly which is rare but happens during production of them

Mine has 1K miles on it and it does the same sound. Sounds like a mini supercharger. I kinda like it.

Do you have an A10? They make whining noises like a supercharger.
