it seems like there are at least 6 tunes
- Whipple stage 1 GT
- Ford Performance stage 1 GT
- Whipple stage 2 GT
- Whipple stage 1 DH
- Ford Performance stage 1 DH
- Whipple stage 2 DH

all of them are 49-state legal and do not have CARB certifications
Tunes between the Whipple kit and Ford Performance kits are the same. The only thing that varies in the tune would be the stage 1 to stage 2 as they use different throttle bodies which requires some changes. The Stage 1 tune is top speed limited to 155 mph and will also limit throttle if you add smaller pulleys to try and increase boost. The Stage 2 calibration has a raised top speed limit and will allow you to turn the boost up without being limited by throttle closure.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks

Headers always help especially on a forced induction application. They provide more airflow and engine efficiency over the stock manifolds. Do you need them? No. Will you benefit from them? Yes.

My manual GT with the Whipple runs Kooks longtubes and a Corsa catback with double H pipe. I do get a CEL light on the vehicle but it doesn't affect how the car runs at all. Some people install defoulers to prevent the light.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks

Are the GT and DH tunes the same? Don't really see why they would be different but wasn't sure if someone could say for sure.

Yes. The only difference in the calibrations would be for the transmissions (10R80, MT-82 or TR-3160) and what stage kit was ordered.
