Will there be an S650 refresh in 2026/2027?

The S650 is still quite new with a MY2024 launch. If you like the car buy it.

Of course there will be a refresh over the lifecycle of S650, but nobody has any more informations on that. And as long as we don't see any camo prototypes on the streets it's still at least 2 years away. Even if we see prototypes it doesn't mean a lot since Ford totally tricked everyone into thinking a 2nd refresh for Gen 6 was coming by driving around in prototypes, but that never happened.

my best guess is that we see the Raptor and a performance model that closes the gap between DH and GTD in MY26 and MY27, so I think refresh will not happen before at least MY2028

It isn't the White House nor the car companies which will dictate vehicle trends. It is none other than us gear heads aka the buying public. While there are niches in the market for hybrids, and an even smaller niche for EVs, the world will have ICE vehicles for many more years. We can all argue about this, but to replace tanker trucks and pipelines with the requisite electrical grid infrastructure, will cost the US over $3T USD. This does not include many more trillions to build power plants if we could get past the current EPA R&R which is doubtful.

If Ford does not open up the tuning, and start selling, there may not be a Mustang to refresh.

I don’t think so, just this and the specialty models through 2028 until the electric mustang takes over.
I think this is it, the last of the 5.0s/5.2s and then it’s gone. Poof.

the transition will be so fast people will struggle to grasp the reality.
I think so too. I think this is the last 5.0 without going at least hybrid next generation, which is what I am thinking Ford will do.
