Priority code only matters among the orders from the same dealership, i.e. if your dealership never assigns 20-79 to stock orders, your 80 is as good as 20.

Does the dealer get an order number as soon as they put in the order?

Order number is something the dealer chooses at the time of ordering.

That's what I was thinking. Perhaps I'll call the Sales Manager assigned to my order. Or maybe they'll be more responsive now that it's after month end.

How long does it usually take for an order to appear on COTUS? I put my deposit down last Friday, and got the DORA Tuesday. I'm trying to figure out if I am just impatient or if I need to reach out to the salesman. When I put the info in COTUS I get the error "A matching vehicle could not be determined. Please contact your dealer to get status updated about your order."

It can take a good deal of time. I placed my order on 12/10 and still haven't seen anything on COTUS. I get the same error you do. I contacted my dealer and they contacted their Ford rep. She said it should be processed soon and bumped my priority up.

I ordered my car on 11/22/17, and just got a VIN last week. May be faster for you because I think the hold up on mine was magneride, but who knows. Be prepared to wait.

12/15 Ordered
1/18 Showed up in COTUS as “Order Processing”
1/20 Got VIN and EDD of 3/23
1/28 changed to 3/19
1/30 EDD removed
2/7 EDD changed back to 3/19
3/13 EDD removed again (yesterday)
2/14 Went “In Production” (today)
no EDD, blend date or or sticker yet... hopefully within the next 7 days!
