As a further add- on, the overall quality is so much better than in the past. My 1st Mustang/Cougar was a 1967 Cougar. Within 4 years the body was rotted, and the 289 engine needed a rebuild. Back then I could pull that motor and rebuild it in my garage, todays motors not so easy. I had a 73 Olds, within 1 year the back fenders were rusted thru. Compare those experiences to a 4 year old 2020 Mustang. Get my point.

I mean, have you have severe issues with yours? If it's just something where you're seeing issues on the forums, don't worry my friend. Forums are literally a beacon for people complaining, you're far more likely to hear about issues here than in the real world. Doesn't matter what the brand is, if you go on Toyota forums, there are already dozens of stories of people who've had to replace the engines in their brand new Tundras. That doesn't mean it's happening to everyone, or even the majority of people.

My maverick hybrid was essentially a first model year, even the first model year mavericks are some of the most reliable trucks on sale. The only issue I've had is some rattling in the dash, which can apparently be rectified with some well placed insulation. One of the reasons why the maverick was so reliable from day one, is because it uses components that have been around for years, over a decade in the case of the 2.5 hybrid and 2.0 ecoboost. So it's a new car, but the parts aren't new.

It's the same thing with the s650. Basically everything is just a tweaked version of what the s550 has. So you're quite unlikely to see major issues with the s650. The Honda you're referring to had quite a few transmission issues, a common theme for Hondas, but that's because it was a brand new transmission design at the time if memory serves correct. You don't have to worry about that with the mustang.

I sure hope not. I am not gonna be able to drive it for four months because of my surgery coming up, So I will have to have my husband be driving me around in it. I hope I don’t have Any major problems

I'm still on the fence. To be honest, I'm not sure what to think. Maybe my expectations were too high with all the hype. I find all the electronic gadgets a little overwhelming, but I'm sure the younger folks like them. I've had my car for 4 weeks and it's already been at the dealer for a week to replace the Gateway Module with only 387 miles on the odometer. In the back of my mind I keep comparing it to my '19 Corvette Z06. I know it's not a fair comparison, but my Mustang doesn't hold a candle to it. Took my wife for a ride a couple of weeks and she promptly told me it's slow compared to my Corvette. Ouch! (She's not even a car person.) I'm hoping my feelings change after I put a few more miles on it.

Of course it’s going to be slower right now for sure because you’re probably still in your break in like I am, but even when it’s broke in the vet, I’m sure it’s going to win every time

There is no size difference in the trunk when top is up or down. Or is this S650 different than S550?

I know the Camaro has a size difference in the trunk when the top is down, but not this car????

When you have a convertible and put the top down, it always comes down a bit towards the trunk or at least in my area did maybe the Mustangs are set up differently. I could put a box in the Audi with the top up that I could not put in there with the top down

Any car in Wisconsin is going to get rust on it because of the weather. Our cars down here never get rust on them.

There is no difference when top up or down in your Mustang.

Only difference is between convertible and coupe, where the coupe has a slightly larger trunk.

Keep in mind, if mine has any problems, I'll be right on that extended warranty to get repaired, at no cost to me. A new MY I expect some issues, and if it is a lemon, so be it.

Unfortunately cars are no different than everything else mass produced. Some will have problems others perfect. And like any other review sections, you mainly hear about the problems.

When mine finally gets built, if all is good, you'll get some pics and then probably won't hear from me again, I'll be too busy driving it... Until there's a problem, then I'll be back here to rant

To me...the biggest problem is no longer the screens but how they are utilized... this looks horrible to me... either make the screens smaller or make the graphics larger... this makes it look like part of the screen is burned out...

That's a bad angle/photo. From your seat while driving, the other areas are blocked by the steering wheel, making any graphics there useless. This photo was taken from the steering wheel view instead of the driver seat view lol

I mean, it's a performance transmission dude. My friend's civic makes you feel like you're being hit on the back with a shovel whenever it shifts, and that's on a normal commuter car. If it was like that, then I'd be concerned.

But sports cars do that on purpose good sir. People like those crisp, fast shifts. They complain about the transmission being too lethargic otherwise.

It looks perfectly fine because you cannot even LOOK at the rest while driving. Why does it matter? I understood his post fine and the fact that the image was taken from a very misleading and pointless perspective.

The last time Apple, Samsung or basically any tech company released a product with such huge bezels was back in 2010 or before that.

Well, you can look at current laptops and see bigger bezels...brands go back and forth on that for different reasons, usually about durability. It's why Apple phones have generally not gone as thin as Samsung phone bezels. But...I agree they could have done more with the screen real estate, or even just bury it in the dash.

the only thing that annoys me is sometimes when I turn up or turn down the volume while on wireless apple car play, I get the occasional buzz noise that only last a second.

I've had that too a few times. Hope they can address it with an OTA update.

This is tough. The transmission is built like a tank and widely regarded as excellent. Mine (2021) had a harsh shift point in one condition, but was impressive despite that. I had the 750lix (bimmer, like yours, with the M-performance package) and don't feel Ford's is inferior. Technically, two more gears than my BMW 8-speed is already helpful. The BMW warned that launch mode would reduce the life of the transmission and shouldn't be used often (apparently there was a 100 use counter). I never felt Ford's would break easily. Maybe just perception.
