Now that dust has settled and it's in the publics hands.

The whole car is a disappointment to me. Styling sucks IMO. Inside and out! Interior looks thrown together. As has been said many times, Camaroesque. I was hoping one of their performance packages would change my mind. Nope. Maybe the Shelby version will be better. If they have one. Ford of the present and future is losing me after 35+ years. Not real fond of the trucks either. Any Ford I buy will regress in years. No more new ones for me. This site won't be of much use to me. Back to mustang6.
Over here saying the interior is trash, meanwhile... this is a 2023 brand new sitting on my local dealer lot right now...

imma be real here, i never really liked the looks of the S550. Dont get me wrong, its not a bad car design, but its not a Mustang design, it looked more like a European style sportscar went on a McDonalds diet and wrapped itself around a coyote. to me the S650 is ford putting the 'Mustang' back into the S550 body, which i like. As for the inside, ive said it before and ill say it again, i dont really give a shit. Screens are neat yeah, but im not getting this mustang for its interior

Honestly do not like it at all
If they gave it some shape or even sectioned off the gauge cluster I'd be more about it. iE Audi /vw etc. but the screens look just like that, my pc screens at work that I look at 8 hours a day. If there was more shape I could work with it.
I was on the fence.
After adjusting to the New Screen design I wouldn’t want to go back to the Basics Design.
I think it’s its Cool šŸ˜Ž.
You have to admit the older version of Vehicle's dash is pretty sad looking.
I think the 2024 GT Dash looks pretty cool with the ability to change the background lighting to 28 different colors.
Also,
Being able to change the design of the screen for Track, Cobra, Clam, etc. is something very different & Fun to mess around with.
There’s a lot of information on the screen.
You have a choice of what you want to use or don’t.
It may become overwhelming & lose focus on driving, but you gotta keep your eyes on the road not on the dash.
Can’t please everyone, it is what it is

Im sure Ford realized that they would lose some customers with the design choices they made.
They'll also gain alot of new customers with they updates design.

I wouldn't even consider a Mustang with the old interior.
Gain a lot of customers hasn't really been the case. Way underperforming compared to S550 launch. I think lost exceeds gains at this point based on sales. They really lost S550 owners who might have upgraded had they made other choices. The Gen Z/young millennial crowd that bamboozled them into thinking they would buy it if they slapped some screens in it have not shown up.

As a longtime Mustang fan, Ford lost me on the current generation. The screen content is okay, I would prefer a bit simpler, although I would still love analog gauges. However, the implementation is terrible. The screens look glued to the dash, with no thought to integrate them. To me, it looks low class and like a cheap afterthought. That, combined with the poor throttle response (feel?) I experienced in the cars I test drove, kept me from a purchase recently. Hopefully, future generation Mustangs will improve. I am keeping my 350 forever though...

Most folks (I've talked to) about the S650 that the interior electronics are too complicated for them. They want a sports car but don't want the driving experience to be similar to playing an Xbox.

The 2024 Mustang dash with the 28 different colors are very easy to read.
I personally like the new Mustang dash.
There are things they could have left out but with repetition the New Dash layout will become easier to understand.
There are something like 4 different dash options.
Change can be very difficult, especially if you resist the New technology.
Just give it some time to adjust.

It isn't the technology, it's the design choices that were made. The screens feel very poorly implemented/integrated into the dash, they look like they were just stuck on. They aren't hard to use, I just don't care for how the interior looks and feels as a result. Sitting in the car, I Didn't get the feeling I enjoyed it, I got the feeling that, at best, I could get used to living with them. When spending $40-60k, I want to feel like I really enjoy the interior of the car, as well as the exterior.

As an additional point, I do feel that perhaps we need less distractions in cars these days, rather than more.

I love your avatar, by the way.

I believe some of the Lack of Sales is due to the Ford Dealerships around here in Colorado believe the Mustang sales is from May to September?
Almost every Dealership has only, maybe Zero to maybe 3 Mustangs in inventory?
I was at AutoNation in Littleton Co.
A customer wanted to purchase a 2025 Gt Loaded Mustang.
He had to order one.
No desirable inventory in stock ?

This 100% for myself. I loved the S650 the moment it debuted. I felt the interior was more mature than the S550. Just about every person that's seen it was shocked how much nicer the interior is over previous gens.

Style wise, the S650 imo is a hit inside and out. Only complaint is the GT PP should have an actual splitter instead of the winglets. Overall, the car is blast to drive and comfortable when needed.

It's better than the exterior for sure. I'd bet we'll see it in a fully electric Mustang (not Mach-E) very soon. It's designed with that in mind.

Funny thing is that all the interior images show the speedometer with a max 140 MPH, instead of the usual 160 MPH.
I believe the the top end speed varies from model to model with the Dark Horse I believe it's 160

I really like the screen. I like the whole interior in fact. If you look closely you can see cost cutting, but it still looks great at a glance.

I’m one of those Ford gained.
I like everything about the S650, except ,
I would have purchased the PP if it came with ALL-SEASONED TIRES?
Here in Colorado,Wyoming etc.where the colder weather is the norm. Those Summer Tires are usless in the Colder weather.
The High Country, the Mountains are still getting SNOW..
Not much, but the colder weather is a problem.
It isn’t worth it to me to purchase tires in September.
Yes we can get Summer weather all the way up to November, but no guarantee.
Colorado weather is very unpredictable.
Sorry to ramble.
I did test drive a 2023 S550.
The S650 is more advanced.
