Without a build date (vin) I’d be surprised if you see it this year. A friend of mine at ford said i should get a build date for October. Fingers crossed.

I don't know that getting a VIN is necessarily indicative. I don't have a VIN but I still got the email from Ford stating mine had been built and was waiting for shipping to Australia and the dealer said Oct delivery.

The emails from ford motor co will only come if the dealer opt the customer into them.

Having a vin does help know there is a commitment to the build

The VIN is usually allocated before Segmentation and therefore the Build, and will be listed on your Order Status file.

It seems your dealer is sitting on it, so ask them to email an Order Status Screenshot, which will have all your info including the Ship name if already allocated.

I've learnt not to waste my time responding to people who blow in all of a sudden, asking questions that have already been answered over and over, or would have found the answers themselves had they bothered to search and put some genuine effort into it.

But no, they're too lazy and waste other peoples time, aside from adding extra noise to a thread that is already 100+ pages long. A classic display of living-in-the-moment 'Facebook mentality' requiring instant gratification with no effort.

I made the mistake of not driving my 124, when I sold it after 7 years only had 21000km on it.

I sold all my Italian cars to buy my mustang, and I plan on using it daily!

This is my beef too. I placed the deposit back in September 2022, I knew the wait would be long, but its what I ultimately wanted. That it has dragged out this long is beyond ridiculous for a mass-produced consumer good. Then the guys who have no connection with the Mustang get their cars first, only to then offer them up for sale 24 hours later. It's just another kick in the guts for guys like you and me who have legitimately waited so long for a car.

I tell you what, when the car finally arrives, I have no idea how I'm going to react, the excitement sort of evaporated about this time last year for me.

I doubt dark horse will ever fall.in value here

But i wonder say 2026 the GTs if they dont sell well, will we able to get say 5k off sticker price from the dealer as part of their end of year sales?
