Hopefully it is. Would suck if it’s a possibility even on newer build stangs. Mine is a 8/23 production and I’m here in Dallas, TX specifically. It has been hot but I feel like it wasn’t as bad as last summer. Wonder if there could be a recall for it if it’s production date related
For real. half as many or less 100+ days this year a little further down south. We still cracked a couple records though - 112 air temp one day and 109 the next. Then back down to bake from broil.

hopefully it doesn’t get worse and remains a somewhat isolated issue.

Wifey's 24 VW Atlas seems to have a similar issue. Stress cracks are covered but moisture in the enclosure is considered normal and not covered. She has not had an issue yet but others have. Seems to be common.

Ford has put drain holes into their assemblies for a few years now, moisture isn’t a concern other than aesthetics. taking on and holding water very much can be an issue if the assembly is networked - like BLIS or similar. if that happens, it can be a pricey fix.
I’ve not seen the stress cracks like this before so hopefully just something isolate.d

Extreme temp changes could cause this especially in plastic.
If it has mold defects, or molding process screw ups, material screw ups... but yes it can happen if improperly manufactured

Just noticed mine has a crack right along the rear right taillight, one the corner of the plastic rather than the black cover material. Hopefully its covered under warranty, have no idea how long it was there but I've added one of the aftermarket DH spoilers so hopefully that doesn't disqualify me, I've seen others bring that up as a concern.

Yeah they have to prove that caused it. Or you can revert back to the original spoiler just to be more sure. The dealer or ford will find any way to not do it I feel like

Moisture or fogging can be considered normal, but holding water is not. I can't see how any spoiler change could be related. I know a bunch of you all hate us at the "stealership", but I get paid pretty well for warranty repairs, and if anything, am looking for a way TO fix cars, not decline repairs.

If I could I’d take it to you lol I used to work a bit as a ford service tech but apparently the tech who looked at mine said I had caused it. Once I showed proof of others with real evidence now it’s like they’re sending all that info to a ford rep. Not sure how long I have to wait.

Update on my whole situation: Went to Five Star Ford in Dallas, tech that looked at my car said I had caused it from what my service advisor told me. Well I showed the SA proof of others having this issue with pictures, etc of the same exact cracks, and said SA said she’d send the info to her Service Director. Gave me his number to call if I had questions. Well they had my car for a month and any time I asked for updates which I did message once a week, they didn’t have an answer I even called the SD and no response. He did call back and when I’d call back as soon as I could I wouldn’t have a chance to talk to him. So I ended up picking up my car in the meantime while I waited to hear back from their Ford Rep, and well after that my SA and the SD (never even had a chance to talk to him since he never picked up or called back but just once). When I messaged for an update never heard anything from my SA and she had for the most part always responded quick with an update or not. So yeah.. took it today to another local dealer and they looked at it today but because there isn’t any TSB’s, etc they don’t have any legs to stand on when submitting the claim even though I told them of others having the same issue, which I could provide proof and others have had success in getting it replaced. Oh I forgot to mention I told the SA which I first took my car to, that the cracks are more pronounced during the month it sat with them compared to when I first took it to them.
