I think the side profile looks very good. The front is not my cup of tea, but looks like big front grill designs are now in fashion on BMW, Lexus, Mustang GT500 and other makes.

For the 4 - door sedan maybe Ford can borrow some design cues from 2025 Audi- A5??

I love this side profile, possibly more than the RS7. I wonder if those proportions could carry over to a midsize/fullsize 4-door sedan/sport back.

I also had a thought to differentiate the Mach-4 from the Mustang. What if the Coyote was detuned to 400-448 HP for the Mach-4, with a Ford Performance tune option for those who want/need the additional 40HP?

Absolutely NOT...it's already going to suffer a weight penalty. Why saddle it with a detuned engine as well?

I agree.

The more people are describing what they want to see, the more I’m realizing they want something else.

I also think there’s a big chance we’re giving Ford too much credit expecting something crazy.

At this point I'm just speculating, however wild my thoughts are.

I’m not referencing you bro, just in general seeing different takes.

I have a feeling it’s not gonna be a crazy car. it’s probably gonna be heavy but still not have space like some predict. I feel like it’ll look okay but be compromised

i agree.

i am hoping we get a slightly stretched vehicle with 4 doors, a slightly different roofline to better accommodate rear seat passengers, and a slightly bigger or more accessible trunk (2 sets of clubs in bigger bags, or a dreadnaught style guitar is a 6 string case). this can probably be accomplished with the change in roofline allowing for a bigger trunk lid. Front end, styling cues, etc. can all be the same or similar. I am not expecting something totally different unless they make it a Lincoln which will be a guaranteed failure In terms of numbers.

I am not expecting something like the MN12 (89-97 thunderbird) vs the fox body. The only major changes I expect would be roofline, trunk deck, and a stretched body, plus the changes needed for 4 doors. That said, if they want a different sheet metal shape on the outside, I am okay with that too, but I am not expecting that.

It’s probably not going to share as much with the traditional Mustang I’m betting other than the powertrains.Tail lights, front/rear bumper etc. will be different and some design cues will be similar. I just have a sneaky suspicion.

I’m ready to just see how Farley’s pet project pans out. To me it’s looking kinda like a Ford Scion idea so far with the Mach E and this thing being teased everywhere 😂

I’m hoping it works, Ford needs a performance sedan. Just really want it to be good and not a marketing thing

I agree. It does not have to look like a mustang, but it needs to be able to perform. Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing seems like it would be a good benchmark, but honestly, that would be the halo edition similar to the GT500. Supercharged V8 with lots of HP and Torque, but the CT5-V normal is a little (a lot) anemic. 480ish HP with 410 ish ft lbs of torque is a good compromise between the two, with 300 hp and 350 Ft Lbs for a base engine is fine...remember, you still need a base engine for a good part of the sales. I could even see a 3 engine lineup if they allow a "halo car" version"

I am going to compare to the last Charger...the base engine there had about 300 and 260 for HP/Torque, while the Hemi had 370/395...I think current EcoBoost engine is a good fit to match those two. The 6.4 (my fav and the one I would have gotten had they sold it two more years) is 485/475. While the 5.0 has less torque, the fact that the (potential) future Ford four door should be a bit smaller and hopefully a little lighter means I am okay with that. Then of course, the 6.2 Supercharged engine which Ford already has an answer to would take a shot at the halo version where they can charge 95-140k for that version...although that would get it into CT5-V Blackwing territory and would probably need to be 10-20k under that. After all, if you are paying M5 pricing, you better have M5 performance, size and build quality...which I don't think Ford can do with the current state of things.

Please no! Already gonna be heavier, no need to give it less HP too.

I'm sorry for reviving this thread out of nowhere again, but is there any chance we hear something noteworthy about the Mach-4 at the New York International Auto Show?
