I just finished installing front & rear rock guards on my 2024 Dark Horse. Thought I’d share lessons learned.
1. Kit comes with everything except replacement push pins. So be careful removing stock ones or have some extras on hand. 2 different sizes for the front.
2. DH has moulded front wheel well trim. Can’t mount guards between it & fender due to the moulded lip on the trim. Was able to mount it over top of the trim. Seats pretty nicely. Looks ok. Not perfect but ok.
3. DH has a short piece of moulding on the rear. I removed it. It’s like a mini rock guard but the new ones are bigger. Fit nicely.
4. Turned front wheels to make room for installation. Removed rear wheels.
5. Need isopropyl to clean site inside fender for small support block to be mounted with 3M adhesive strip.

Nice. Today I ordered the ones from Extreme Online Shop.
I'm really curious on how it will look on mine.
I looked at the ZL1 ones but I find the rear one sticking out from below too much.
Also the chrome pins are also something that stand out, that bothers me.
I wanted the smallest looking guards, but still effective enough to do the job.

Those look good. I hadn’t considered the length issue. Hope it doesn’t start to bug me or I’ll have to change them. 😂 It never ends!

I'm sorry, that was not my intent to do. Just wanted to share how I chose that product above the other ones I compared them with.

2 of Those are the machine screws that come with the kit. They are silver - zinc plated I think. I colored them black with the Sharpie that I used to mark the support block that mounts inside the fender to hold the top screw that is provided (black)

I opted for the ones from Mike Savas on Facebook, which you can now get from here:
https://mustangrestyled.com/product...rocker-panel-protection-for-2024-s650-mustang

They are wider and sit a bit lower than ZL1. I had ZL1 previously, but was still getting rock chips as they just weren't quite wide enough to protect from these grippy wide tires. Plus they offer engraving options if that's something that you're into.

They don't have rear rock guards available just yet, but should be an option very soon.

Those aren’t chrome lol. I swear mine are black but even if you can’t even see the screw head unless bent down on the ground. I mean if that’s your hang up first world problems lol

Well, the company posted a video where I can see the chrome screw.

lol. Still not chrome. You must not know what chrome is. But that’s with the wheel off. If that’s your hang up then you do you

So you had the same idea as me haha. Yeah, making them black is a good way to solve it. Or black screws.

Grey, chrome, silver. Are we really going to discuss how it should be called?
You knew exactly what I ment when I said chrome. But now you are turning this discussion into the wrong chosen word to describe the color of the screw that doesn't match the black parts.
I also said pins instead of screws. When are you going to fight me for that?
I'm trying to use my best English to make myself understandable since English is my 4th language.

Also, what you are doing is not fair at all.

I described a few reasons why I don't like the ZL1 mud flaps.
You ignored all other reasons and cherry picked 1 of the reasons to make it look like that's the only reason why I dislike the ZL1 mud flaps over another one.

Don't be that guy man.
