I must say that I'm very happy with the wireless charger on my Mustang. I was right on time ordering the car. One month later and it would be the 2025 model without wireless charging, without B&O sound system and plus a couple of grand more for less options.

I was very afraid that my phone would become too hot to touch because many people on this forum complained about the wireless charger. But my Galaxy S24 Ultra inside a thick rubber case fits perfectly, charges nicely and doesn't get hot at all.

What I really want to do is to change my seatbelt to a blue color that matches my car. That would be sick!

I'm not lucky with ordering car parts for my Mustang.

So I ordered side mirrors 3 weeks ago.
They arrived last week, 1 day before loading cargo on the ship. For some reason my package didn't make the ship and got delayed with 1 week.

My second order, a vLinker ODB2 cable. It went from Phoenix to Kentucky, to Philadelphia to Paris, France to Köln Germany.
I contacted UPS and asked them what's going on. They told me my package went on the wrong airplane. It went back from Germany to Kentucky, to Miami and today it arrived here in the Caribbean. Hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow.

My third order, the European light switch. I ordered it 2 weeks ago, but they just sent it a few days back. They gave me a track and trace and for some reason it was not tracable. I contacted them and what happened? Package is LOST!!

Now I have to wait for a couple more weeks.

It's already super hard to order stuff from the USA and get it shipped to the Caribbean, but with the luck I have it's almost getting impossible.

I never had issues when ordering parts from Europe and I'm ordering parts for more than 10 years. But for some reason mistakes happen more often in the US.

Anyways, here is a random picture of a pidgeon that wants a ride in my blue monster.

After watching and reading Forscan tutorials for weeks, today was my first day working with Forscan on my car.

I didn't feel comfortable at all working with it, especially when reading others screwed things up and lost their save data and stuff.

The first thing I did was backing up all the modules. I also was very careful where my mouse went and not clicking something accidentally without noticing it. That was the most stressfull part of working with forscan. I wanted to be in control without making mistakes. It's not hard, but I can't live with making a mistake that can bring me into trouble.

All went good. Then I wanted to enable turn signals on the side mirrors in my DDM and PDM and I found out that my 401A car with Recaro seats does not have DDM and PDM for some stupid reason.

Then I enabled the continues gear indicator.
When writing the changes, my car gave me a warning that it will shut down automatically to save the battery.

This was the most stressfull moment ever.
First time working with Forscan, first time writing a change in Forscan and at the same time a loading bar appeared on my dash that tells me that my car was going to shut off. I pressed different buttons on my steering wheel to try and stop it, but nothing helped.

Luckily I was able to write the change and close Forscan 2 seconds before my car turned off.

Man!! Why do stuf like this always happen to me?

Alright, here is an update about converting my Canadian Mustang to European standards to pass the European inspection.

I was researching for months on how to add turn signals on the side mirrors and how to add a rear fog light on my Mustang. I put tens of maybe hundreds of hours into this research, mostly just on the internet, and not physically, since I'm not that handy.

My problem is, If I want to know something, I keep on searching and will not stop. Sometimes this affects my health as I stop eating or sleep less, just to have more time in finding the answer.

I know, it's a bad behaviour but I can't help it, it's part of my personality and maybe it's something autistic.

It turns out that my car does not have DDM (Driver Door Module) and PDM (Passenger Door Module) and that's a rear cheap out from Ford because I literally have every single option possible on the configurator on my Mustang GT Premium with the 401A package.

Since I have no DDM and PDM, the wiring for the turn signals are missing and I have to hardwire it myself by adding new wires. There is still a very very small chance that my new side mirrors with integrated turn signals will be plug and play, but from all the information I gathered at this moment it is probably not plug and play. There is another European guy who brought his Mustang to Europe and he had to hard wire the turn signals.

I never thought that I would understand reading wire diagrams.
I never thought that I would understand how Forscan works.

But here I am now. Understanding a little of both and many information I'm reading now totally makes sense, while a few days or weeks ago people tried to explain to me something and I didn't have any clue what they were saying.

That's why I want to apologize especially to @roket and @rugedraw for spending a lot of time reasearching and explaining stuff to me in private while I had zero knowledge about all the information. Not everybody has the energy and patience to explain technical stuff to someone who doesn't know anything about it. But thanks to their patience and time I now learned more about diagrams and Forscan.

Thanks again!

I made an appointment on the 31st of this month to install my new side mirrors with integrated turn signals. I will then let everybody know if it was plug or play or not. I still hope it is plug and play because I really don't want to mess up the electricity on my vehicle.

The installation process for the rear foglight needs to wait because UPS lost my package and they had to resend it. The information that I have right now is that it is Plug & Play after using Forscan.

I took the car for a spin and saw the changes that I made in Forscan. I'm so happy with the continues gear display.

Since I'm the only S650 on the island, everybody smiles, looks back and gives compliments. Especially the tourists, young and old. It's always nice to see children and very old people smiling when they see the car. Makes me realize I was that young kid once and I will be that old man in the future (If God decides to let me reach that age).

For some reason my phone camera can't capture the front LED lights. On every picture it looks like there are no LED lights on or sometimes just a small part. Very weird.

And I'm happy with the beefy tires. Look how much they stick out from the rims. That a good amount of rubber protecting the wheels from the sidewalk damage when parking.

Update on installing the rear fog light and rear fog light switch on my Canadian/US Mustang.

With some help of forum members I found out that I had to change 1 line in the BCM and 1 line in the IPC to enable the rear fog light and get it to work.

I haven't got my rear fog light and light switch yet, they are somewhere on their way but today I found a second line that should be enabled in the BCM.

These are the 3 lines you need to change to get the EU fog light work on your US Mustang.

BCM:
726-39-01 xxxx xxx* xx--
0=Disabled and 1= Enabled

726-67-01 *xxx xxxx xx--
4=Disabled and 0=Enabled

IPC:
720-02-02 xx** xx--
4=Disabled and 6=Enabled

I'm pretty sure that I have all the lines now to make it work. Change at own risk and make a backup before changing the lines.

My side mirrors with integrated turn signals arrived and so did the mirror caps.

I brought the mirror caps to the body shop to paint them gloss black. The mirror caps were already gloss black'ish' but that was the primer color.

I placed the mirror cap next to the mirror cap that is installed on my car and you could see and feel the difference. The difference is not that big, but it definitely should be painted.

Okay, I thought that I could read the wiring diagram, but I guess I still suck big time, or there is something wrong.

So I received my new side mirrors, and I'm trying to understand what each wire in the cable does.

I'm comparing every wire to the wire that is shown in the diagram.

But it seems that almost nothing corresponds.
The wire colors are all mixed up and located in different pins.

So I have a wire diagram of the car with memory and the wire diagram without memory, but both diagrams look way different than the wires I have in my new side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

I gave every wire a number so that you guys can solve this mystery.

Some people said that the wire for the turn signal must be in PIN 3. Well, my turn signal wire looks like in PIN 1. How is that possible?

HELP

PS: The right and left side mirror have exact the same wires and colors in the same connector.

Edit: Even though all these wires doesn't make sense to me, I searched for other side mirrors and they all have the same layout. So it should be fine. The only frustrating thing is that I can't understand the wiring, colors and the pins that don't match with the information that I have.

I still find this a very interesting topic since I'm probably the first one who is doing this conversion and there is literally nothing known about it yet. I'm braking my head about this for weeks/months and I'm almost getting closer to the solution. Now that I have the mirrors at home, I can't wait to test them out. But I have to wait until the 31st of this month before a mechanic can look at it. Until then I'm trying to gather as many information as I can to help myself calm down LOL.

What I really find interesting is that the door harness that I have (PR3Z14631KA), is the door harness that's on all Premium non-401A Mustangs. All these cars don't have turn signals in the side mirror. But for some reason, almost all Ford OEM part stores say in the details that this door harness supports turn signals. That's very very interesting and that gives me hope that there is still a chance that the turn signals are plug and play. But since Ford did not put the turn signals on my Mustang while the door harness supports it and since I have the 401A package but not the 401A door harness, I also give it a high chance that the mirrors are not plug and play. And since I don't have a DDM and PDM, the chance to have it plug and play is a bit lower than the chance that it will not be plug and play.

ChatGPT says without DDM and PDM, the side mirrors are not plug and play.
But ChatGPT doesnt know much about this carI noticed.

So my guess is:
- Plug and play 25%
- Add extra wires 75%

Great news! Since it's not the 31st of March yet, I still have time to do more research before bringing the car to an electrician who is going to try and make my turn signal work.

At this moment I'm gathering all possible diagrams so I can hand it over to the technician.
Last week the Mustang wizard aka Roket, gave me the advice to tap the turn signal wire from the corner lights in the grill and he gave me the wiring diagram of that connector.

Today I received a real life picture of the connector from a European Mustang owner who had to do some headlight modifications to get it pass the inspection.

This means there is a chance that I don't have to remove my front bumper to get to this connectos. I'm not 100% sure. I'm still searching on Youtube for a video that somebody is removing the radiator cover to see how much room I have and if it is possible to get to the connector from there.

The corner light in the grill seems very close to the radiator cover, so there might be a chance to work from there. I really hope so cause I don't want to remove my bumper.

If anybody has a picture of a video of the room behind the radiator cover, much appreciated.

Edit: If I read the diagram correctly, the yellow cable is the + Turn signal and the Blue-White cable is the - Turn signal.

Does this mean I need to add 2 wires to the turn signals?

Today I topped the coolant.
It came a little bit above minimum from the factory/dealership.

I also checked the oil level for the first time.
The oil level is between the middle and the lower line. That means it's safe, but just like the coolant, the dealership used just enough fluids to be on the safe side.

Ford is really trying to save money 🤣

I didn't top the oil level because I don't have any bottle at home. I'll keep an eye out if the car consumes oil, I don't think so.

I only have 330km on the dash right now after 1 month and 10 days of ownership.

Today I drove around the island to find nice spots for some pictures and also made some video's for my future Mustang YouTube channel.

I just ordered the rock guards / mud guards / splash guards from Extreme Online Store.
I compared all the available mud guards on the internet and these look the best on my Mustang.

Great looking Mustang (especially against all that blue water and sky)!

Extra points for climbing through the window while it was in a ConEx! 😆

My rear fog light switch finally arrived.
That means I can make my car Europe proof.

I already started with the side mirrors which I'm going to update later when I'm finished.

Side mirrors are plug and play but I had a hard time releasing 1 connector.
I will change the other side mirror this weekend when I have time.

When my side mirrors are done, I'm going straight to this conversion. I have to remove the reverse light and the light switch and replace them with the European models and change some codes in Forscan.
