Hey Bobr, did you drive fast to check it? Over 90mph?
When I'm doing 90...........................I'm not watching my phone, irritating passengers, the aux screen, or the hood! 😆

I've found doing 150kmh+ can irritate some passengers, but they can always change their status and become walkers.
Luckily my wife is cool with speed, 210 on the back of my bike and she was pretty ho hum about it.

Just chiming in fwiw. My 650 has not had this happen between 80-100mph. Haven’t gone faster than that yet.

My old '07 used to do it, also if it's windy. Not this one.

Is 90 miles per hour really fast for guys in the US? Everytime when people talk about driving fast I see 2 digit numbers.

I would say 110 miles per hour and up is called fast. Everything below 100 is just normal.
On our highways we have the speed limit of 130km/h (80mph). So literally every car is at least doing 80mph on the highwa0y even grannies. Driving comfortable is to drive a bit faster than the average to be safe. People who drive exactly the speed limit have more risk to get involved in an accident.

So I drove in my small 1.2 diesel engine around 86 miles per hour daily and it was super comfortable. Top speed was 120mph and it was still comfortable when driving in Germany on the autobahn. So I find it very strange that people say that this Mustang is not that comfortable when driving over 100mph. Really guys?

In the Northeast, the fastest speed limit is probably 70, as the traffic is quite congested in many places. That doesn't mean you can't stretch the Mustang's legs, but you have to be judicious! Glenn

Because of our low speed limits it's an instant licence loss if you're more than 40 over the 100kmh limit.
Having ignored that, I had the Mustang up to 180 briefly and thought it was quite stable at that. I'd quite happily cruise at 160 to 180 or so for long periods.

I wouldn’t call it hood “lift”, I’d say hood “flutter”.

@GrabThatBlue perhaps we don't appreciate each others driving conditions as the speed factors they are?

I live in a rural agricultural county; where one’s ability to “safely (on the road safety being relative and all) achieve triple digit speeds is dependent on traffic density, “The Man” (and speed cameras ‘n such) density, and most importantly “road quality”.

Did I mention “wildlife”? NO! Not la vida loco!

Michigan; 10 million people, 2 million white tailed deer. Deer like to eat crops; like the kind that grow in rural agricultural counties.

https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/deer-population-by-state

“In 2023, more than 58,000 vehicle-deer crashes occurred across Michigan in rural, suburban, and city settings. About 80 percent of those crashes were on two-lane roads. Because deer are most active at dawn and dusk, it is not surprising that most traffic crashes involving deer happen from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.”

I live inside the village (10 K people) limits; in the last 2 weeks I had 15 deer in my back yard one afternoon, and the other morning; when I looked out my back door to check on my GT; there were 2 deer between my driveway and the neighbors.

No lions or tigers, but we got plenty bear, coyotes, turkeys, and vultures too. Dairy cattle are fun! Or NOT!

Road quality. There’s such a thing? Triple digit speeds in most places in MI in a Mustang might jar your fillings loose, or pogo your @$$ into the ditch (not kidding) with the turkeys.

In fairness; my perception of Euro/EU driving is; more/better driver education, more stringent driver/vehicle certification, and much better maintained roads than here. But, I could be wrong.

When talking about speeding, I'm not talking about rural area's, dirt roads, farm lands or neighborhoods where children crossing the roads to go to school.

Logically this means the highway where we are allowed to at least drive 70mph, that almost every country has, with multiple lanes and some room to test out your vehicle for a couple of seconds.

Testing your vehicle at speeds like 90mph on a dirt road, in your own street, or areas where a lot of bobrs are crossing the road is not recommended and also not what I meant.

I just thought that every American has experience in driving on highways.
