I had to get a new half axle on my car due to a torn boot on the cv joint. My dealer replaced it under warranty in 2 days. It sounds like a lot of the cv joints come from the factory with leaks or other issues.

I have them waiting to be installed too. I’m really hoping completely removing the splash shields is not necessary.

If only the front portion of the splash panels need to be trimmed, can’t that be done without removing them from the car?

It’s not a big deal. It just happens when you don’t move the steering wheel for a while. It’s actually impressive how straight the car tracks with no inputs. If you jiggle the wheel a tiny bit the warning immediately goes away.

Which blue did you order? And is the adhesive holding up?

I looked at the mustang6G forums and it sounds like defective cv joint boots have been an issue for years. Apparently they have to be ordered with the half shaft and a lot of them come from the factory already leaking...
