Unable to Use Forscan After Custom Tune

The original tune can't be reinstalled because the current tune doesn't have a Ford part number so it won't pass the validation. The only tune I can install is a custom one, and no one else can provide them currently, but custom tunes don't have part numbers so that ship has sailed.

Unable to Use Forscan After Custom Tune

Ford doesn't issue part numbers for custom items, even if they did it wouldn't benefit me as Forscan doesn't recognize it. I have tried the OEM part number to no avail. As for how the wrong tune was sent, people make mistakes. Simple human error.

Unable to Use Forscan After Custom Tune

I installed a Whipple on my car a few months ago, and we had some issues with the tuning that has led to me not being able to use Forscan on my car. Long story short I was sent an M6 tune and my car is an A10. This basically bricked the car to the point of not being able to turn it off, put it...

My 2024 Whipple Stage 1 dyno on two pulleys

What gear was this dynoed in? Those look like 7th gear numbers, but the stage 1 kit should hit the limiter about 6600ish RPM in 7th.

Has anyone received/tracking info on Whipple kit ?

That was before they were released. There was a period of about 6 months where they were available for order, but not released yet and most of us had no hard date when they would actually be released. Most vendors should have some in stock these days.

Whipple with factory exhaust vs headers

You can't run it on a standalone, not even a piggy back, and keep all the other systems in place. The systems in these cars are so intertwined that when my car had the wrong tune on it we couldn't turn it off or shift it out of park.

DIY Whipple install discussion, advice, tips, and lessons learned

Inventory everything at least a week before you start. I had a lot of issues where Whipple had to overnight parts multiple different times that caused delays.

    Unblocked message

I started seeing it a few weeks ago randomly, it was after I submitted my VIN to Whipple so I figuired it was related.

What is the market like on new 2024 GTs right now?

There have always been deals out there. My car was a custom order, I paid $500 over invoice.

    Any differences between 2024.00 (job1) and 2024.50 (job2) Mustangs?

Every job 2 and newer Mustang has it, regardless of engine, transmission, or trim level.

    Any differences between 2024.00 (job1) and 2024.50 (job2) Mustangs?

The price actually went down $1,000 for job 2 cars because of the auto stop start.

Wait for Custom Build vs Purchasing Available

I ordered my car in January, picked it up a few weeks ago. $495 over invoice, no plan, no discount code, no haggling. I wouldn't settle for something that I didn't want.

Explain the 1,000 mi oil change to me

If you drive the car easy for the first 1,000 miles, the 1,000 mile oil change is a waste of time. You are supposed to beat on the car when it's new so that the rings will seat, in doing so that causes a slight amount of metal to end up in the oil (not a visual or measurable amount). The...

    Roll Bar / Roll Cage

I build cages (among other things), the type of cage you need is dependent on how fast the car is. A roll bar does not satisfy this requirement typically. On a 2024 coupe you don't need a cage at all until 8.99, sucks that convertible requirements are still so aggressive but I absolutely...

Same exact vendor posts in 3+ different forum areas - is this really necessary?

This right here. This forum is so slow currently that you can see all the new posts in one or two pages usually, no need to go into any subcategories.

Same exact vendor posts in 3+ different forum areas - is this really necessary?

It gets really annoying when the only content in the posts is them linking to their YouTube or IG pages. I've blocked most vendors because of this, but then you miss out on some info occasionally. EDIT: I specifically bought my Whipple from another vendor because of that also.

    X-Plan on New Mustang

My dealer sold me my spoken for special order car for $495 over invoice with no X plan, no questions asked, and no haggling. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Would have been under 30 minutes if their laptop didn't have issues and we had to redo credit on a paper app.
