Hello all, I’m curious on what size headers I would benefit most from. For reference, my future build list is as follows…
2024 Mustang Dark Horse with Handling Package, 10 speed auto

1. Borla ATAK exhaust system
2. FP Stage 1 Whipple SC
3. FP Driver/Passenger catch cans
4. FP axle shafts
5. Whipple open air box kit

1 7/8” headers for would I want 2”?
Thank you in advance!

Even with the Magnusson-Moss act too? Won’t they have burden of proof in order to slam me with a warranty void?
I wouldn't want to find out.

Funny thing is you will likely cook the stock cats and have to get warrantied for those...I really would not worry about the engine and just go stage 2 w/headers... I'd worry about the trans first! Plus they only covered the transmission for $2000 in previous versions of their warranties...

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY PER COVERED VEHICLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO $11,500.00 (AGGREGATE). EACH COVERED COMPONENT HAS ITS OWN AGGREGATE VALUE WHICH WHEN COMBINED EQUALS THE TOTAL LIABILITY PER VEHICLE. THE ENGINE IS COVERED FOR $7500.00, $2000.00 PER TRANSMISSION, AND $1000.00 PER REAR AXLE. VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A TRANSFER CASE RECEIVE $1,000.00 COVERAGE ON THESE COMPONENTS. VEHICLES WITHOUT A TRANSFER CASE FORFEIT ANY CASH REFUNDS OR REPAIR CREDITS. THESE AMOUNTS CANNOT BE COMBINED TOGETHER TO AID IN THE REPAIR OF ANOTHER COVERED COMPONENT. IN THE RARE CASE WHEN THE REPAIR COST EXCEEDS THE ACTUAL CASH VALUE OF THE VEHICLE, WE WILL REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE FORD PERFORMANCE PARTS SUPERCHARGER KIT ONCE THE COMPLETE KIT IS RETURNED PREPAID TO US.

I would recommend the 1-7/8 headers. That is a great size, especially when adding forced induction. Let us know if you have any more questions, or if we can help you get set up with some, we are more than happy to help!

We also have our Spring Sale going on right now, make sure to check it out! We have Stainless works headers, and much more on sale!

We typically recommend 1 7/8 until 9-1000whp.. the 2" are fine at a tad lower levels, but an unnecessary addition. You have to lower the motor/trim the studs for most 2" applications.

If you ever end up wanting to go with headers (I saw the comment on the 3/36k warranty), checkout our Lethal ones. They are 1 7/8" and fit perfectly.
