Hey, I’m curious if you’ve seen it or not but, when I enabled the DH lighting, it works great, but I noticed when I shut the car off and the headlights stay on for a delay or something, they’re no longer white, they’re more so orange tinted, but not full amber. Is that just kinda how the dark horse is, or is that a side effect of the DH lighting?
Also noticed, for the last one, I believe 6F6-06-06 or something (don’t remember), where you’re supposed to change it to a 9 as the second digit, I only had 3 digits, not 4 like the forum shows. Is that fine?

i've never heard of this? i would try reverting it back to factory settings and trying again, see if it does that again. mine does not do that

To all - please note I’ve tried using the IPC easy mode, and noticed stop start is on there. I put it as “disabled” and noticed it removes the function of the stop start button, but it still works, it’s just not illuminated. I assume stop start removal needs to be done through the hexadecimal as built.
properly disabling auto start stop has multiple ways of doing it. i think the two most common are disabling it in the BCM which also disables the battery monitoring system and can cause issues, and something about tricking the vehicle into thinking a steering operation is in progress

on 6F6-05-06, there is only two bytes (4 digits) of data, and the last two are always a checksum. if there is only 3, something is odd about that. try manually adding a fourth digit and re-programming it. FORScan should auto-generate a correct checksum. if the issue persists, i recommend contacting the FORScan team about the issue, because that does not sound quite right

Anyone know how to change the interior screen theme to the dark horse startup theme?

Hey. So I just wanted to show you regarding the amber I was saying. I restored back to factory and redid it, the last line replace second digit with a 2, and the line before it, put a 2 somewhere (forgot it right now). These are pictures of what it looks like. First picture is with the car on, so it’s white. Second, is when I shut it off and the lights stayed on temporarily (the drl’s more so, not headlights). You can see it’s orange ish in color.

Is there a way to use ForScan to de-neuter CarPlay when the car is moving?

For example if you make a call and have to "Press 1 for whatever", the car won't let you do that while in motion because.. SAFETY. (So instead I have to fish out my phone, fumble with it in my hands, take my eyes off the road, then press 1.)

And of course all the music, maps, lists of any kind only show you the top 10-ish options when moving.

My understanding is that CarPlay protections are largely set by the auto manufacturer. My wife's Hyundai isn't nearly as locked down as Ford. I've driven several other makes with CarPlay and each one of them treats it a bit differently.

I've also used aftermarket stereos with CarPlay which were able to be fooled by grounding the parking brake wire.

i've heard the opposite, but i dont have the prior experience you seem to with it. in any case, its likely that the restriction, then, is in the programming of Ford's CarPlay implementation, then. its probably a variable that different companies set to different values. anyways, i cant find anything to change that restriction, so you probably will just have to live with it

Hey yall, been messing around with spash screens, and not having any luck (other than the raptor splash screen which is fun). Seems like the "Ford Performance" that I've seen on other videos isn't an offering, unless it's listed as something else.

Also, seems like the "GT" splash screen doesn't work on Sync4 from what im seeing online (just get blue oval with this selection).

Anyone else messed with these?

I’m not sure either honestly. I’ve been curious on if it’s possible to turn the screen into the dark horse startup screen, but I can’t seem to find that anywhere.

If you go to Livinitup's spreadsheet, move to the APIM 7D0 sheet, then go down to line 1257; all of the available splash screens are listed. Dark Horse is 1A and 1B, depending on the B&O audio system.

I assume you don’t know a way to change the vehicle shown when changing drive modes and on the center display where your MPG is? That’s probably hard coded into the VIN?

Haven't tried it, but my guess is that on the same sheet, starting with row 1386, changing the * will change the vehicle displayed.

I ask because I got a dark horse bumper on my car, liked the design and optimized airflow, so I just wanted to see if the picture

Which would it even be? I’d assume right now it’s 2, but I assume the dark horse is that too.
