Hmm. Anyway to enable launch control on an auto?
launch control requires a clutch pedal i think

also for both of these, which numbers do I put in to replace the factory ones? It’s another one of those with like 10 options and I have no clue what’s correct. Also finding it in IPC was difficult because it shows “upshift” or “downshift” indicators, unless it’s both that must be changed.
its just the three i mentioned. they are available in the easy mode for the APIM and IPC

FORScan is software. $12 for 1 year license. The adapter you need to use it is below:

Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter for FORScan HS/MS-CAN Auto Switch https://a.co/d/iV40SLK

You can find tutorials online or on YouTube for FORScan.
ordered the hardware today from AliExpress, look forward to arrival the subscription. Wonder how it compares to my current snapon scanner, or previous fdrs when at the dealer?

Update: doesn’t work
Well that sucks. Maybe there's more to it. I'll dig around and see if I can find anything else related to it.

Snap-on makes great products, but I don't think they are compatible with FORScan. The Mongoose can be used with FORScan or FDRS, but if all you want to do it some FORScan changes, it is an unnesseccary expense.

It's a cable that allows you to use Ford's FDRS software to perform module updates amongst many other diagnostic and service related functions on the newer Ford vehicles.

As far as auto start/stop goes: You can try playing with these settings. Just document whatever is there before you change anything in case you need to revert back. Unfortunately, these things require brave souls willing to try things out to see if they work.

What kind of other functions? Like, what else past forscan does it enable? I can’t imagine what else someone would need.

update: disregard. Did some research on my end.

Different start up screens, different welcome lightning, mph to kph and all other softwarematic stuff.

I'm also interested. For me with a DH Premium and A10, it was adding gear position to Tach.

* removed emergency-brake nag

* got rid of seat belt chimes, displays, nagging

* got rid of door open chime, start car chime, startup chime, and other senseless sounds

* forced warning/notice alert sounds to come through 'instrument cluster' instead of sound system (much quieter, less annoying sound, and sound is shorter)

* force clock to 24hrs (didn't "stick" when done through the dash)

* removed front radar, and therefore disabled

** adaptive cruise control
** low speed collision mitigation
** lane assist
(above allows standard cruise control to work)

* changed keyfob panic alarm from one press to two presses, to prevent accidental triggering in pocket

There's also a change you can make so that, if you unlock the vehicle with the remote but never open the door, it automatically relocks it after a specified period of time, which I believe is adjustable. This would be nice in the event that you (or your child playing with your keys) inadvertently unlocks it. Unless that's what you were trying to describe in bullet #3.

Yes I enabled that (point 3) I think I used the values in the sheet under auto-lock, haven’t tested that though.
Thanks!
