Hello all,
Anyone else experiencing a SYNC issue like I am having where my 24 Mustang GT does not retain an Iphone 16 with latest uodate?
Every day I have to add the phone back . During the day the phone is saved but the next day i have to add it again after doing a soft reset in the car.
I have done a master reset on both the car and phone. The SYNC help desk tells me the same thing on how to add a phone. Also I cannot add the phone again unless a do a reset procedure in the car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention this is trying to connect wirelessly. Carplay works fine using the cord.

Thanks for the reply. I'm Premium GT. I think I may have figured it out. Since the phone gets disconnected overnight, I turned off automatic updates on the car which was scheduled at 1 am . Today was the first day in a couple of weeks where it stayed in SYNC. I'll see what happens

Sorry guy! I do the opposite. I never want to connect wirelessly, but If I don't plug in quickly it will connect wirelessly. (iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18.3.1) Glenn

I think you can turn off wireless CarPlay on your Bluetooth phone settings to prevent it from connecting that way. You won’t be rushed to plug the cable in to use it that way.

So why would you NOT want to connect wirelessly?

Because I want my phone charged all the time, I don't trust the Qi MagSafe charging. I have read about many problems with it. I always have my USB-C cable plugged in and ready to go. I don't have to worry about excessive heat problems or the phone shifting during spirited driving or the bad roads in PA. I just prefer plug and play! If I didn't have USB-C cables in my cars and all over my house, I might think otherwise. Glenn

I believe it uses wifi to connect wirelessly not bluetooth (for wireless carplay/aa)

Yes, you can turn it off. I prefer not to use it, but it is really a concern on longer trips, not local driving. If it does connect, I'm not that bothered. I haven't had any connection issues otherwise. My Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve could be a bear at times, but knock on wood, my Stang seems to play nice. I try to remember, it doesn't always happen, to plug in my phone before I start my car. I don’t know if that matters, but if it ain't broke...Glenn
