Hey all, I currently have a 2024 Dark Pony Edition with the PP without magnaride which I got that but too late now, I was thinking of moving over to a Steeda Suspension and wanted to know if there a big difference in the two.

The city I live in has the worst streets and pot holes galore so looking to help out the car.

I’m gonna go against the popular belief and say I would recommend staying stock or getting ford performance suspension over steeda. Steeda felt too rough for city driving for me especially with potholes. If all your driving is mostly bad streets with potholes I’d recommend finding softer shocks and struts as well as softer springs and sway bars. Steeda, even the non competitive suspension (progressive springs and adjustable shocks/struts and adjustable sway bars), felt very stiff and I’d be bouncing around a lot while driving over rough roads.

The PP cars have stiffer springs and thicker swaybars... perhaps try swapping in the base suspension parts for a bit softer ride. Could likely find the parts cheap from someone who is swapping for steeda suspension.

I want to upgrade my base suspension! The base GT suspension feels pretty good, but I’d sure like to have a stiffer ride with better grip.

Quick answers thank you, yea potholes and the roads can be crazy in some spots. With the PP package I already have it lowered to where i like it it could go a little more but i love the look with the Night Pony Package.

I can put you in contact with our lead suspension expert but on rough roads like that - it's going to be tough to upgrade to compete against those conditions.

Happy to help - Rodney won't just sell you something (our lead suspension expert) - he'll ensure it will be an upgrade & then you can make the decisions.

Shoot me an email to tim@steeda ... let me know if I can help assist!

Best,

TJ

I daily a GT PP with steeda progressives on some pretty crappy roads and it drives great. I probably wouldn't recommend stiffer sway bars too if your roads are bad. I've done them in the past and i can see them combined with springs being too much for rough roads

Anyone who thinks the stock non performance pack GT handles well probably thinks flying spirit airlines is fun. I'd do both sways and springs for non pp

That might be a little hyperbolic. The vast majority of non PP GT owners don’t frequent forums and probably think their cars are just fine.

I’d say it depends on what your expectations are and how you plan to use the car.

I agree.

I also have a GT PP with Steeda Progressive springs and the Steeda shocks and struts. There is a huge difference between stock and the Steeda suspension.

I'd never recommend stock if looking for performance.

But if bad roads are a concern then that is up to you. I have driven on some bad roads and it was not bad.
Everyone's level of comfort is different.
