2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (7/18/24) for Production Weeks 9/2 - 9/23

Update: I just got an email from Ford with my VIN and scheduled production date: 16 September 2024 for my 2024 Mustang GT Premium, Rapid Red, Perf Pkg, Act Exh, 401A, Carmine Red Interior. My order went to Ford on 19 June 2024 from a fairly large dealer in Los Angeles, CA area. We shall see how stable the production date remains. Likewise how long the shipping takes from FRAP. At least this answers my earlier question. I hope my wife is not too disappointed in the color now that she has seen the Magenta. Oh well.

My order went in a couple of days after you but it’s a DH Performance Package though

I haven’t waited as long as you but mine is an A10 AP+HP with matte film which was a late June/July release date anyway. So it’s not looking good for me either.

On June 14th, we ordered a 2024 Mustang Gt Premium, Rapid Red, Auto trans, 401a, GT Performance pkg, Active exhaust and Magneride. Now we're nervous after reading this thread as we have only heard from Ford they received our order. Not interested in a 2025 with about a $3800 increase for the same vehicle/options. There was a Vapor Blue on the lot with the Bronze appearance pkg with the above options. We wish we would have bought that one now.

Im speculating here but if you haven’t been issued a VIN yet I’m not sure you will get a 24.

plant is closed July and rumours of a large chunk of August as well. That will push August builds into September. Long story short they have a lot of catch up to do while they start taking 25 orders.

How likely is FRAP to be shut down in August? I’ve heard some of the same rumors - wondering what’ll happen with my 8/5 build week. After waiting for 13+ months to get a VIN, no less.

@roadpilot Is the most informed on this. I believe he works with a group that supplies parts so has more knowledge than the rest of us.

Last I’d read it seemed a lot more likely than not that there would be some August closure. How much, not sure? Maybe there will be an update soon

Potentially they reopen August 5th, run until August 23rd, shutdown for a week or two, and then reopen again in September?

I ordered my GT premium convertible with 401a, PP, AE, magneride in dark matter with red interior on 5/14. I received the vin about a month later. The original build date was week of 8/19/24 then got notified the build date is now the week of 8/26/24 but the dealer let me know the build date is 8/23/24. . I still don’t have the sticker yet.
