2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (9/5/24) for Production Weeks 9/30 - 10/28

Just got the message that my car is built and awaiting shipping. Estimated delivery of 10/5 to 10/10

My car was labeled in production with a date of 9-6, built 9-9, shipped 9-10. Expected delivery 9-27 to 10-3 to Los Angeles, CA by rail. It was loaded on a car for the Canadian National Railway yesterday at 11:53 am according to Ford. I tried to log into the CN rail to track my car since Ford gave me the railcar number. Unfortunately CN does not grant access to individuals, only to companies. That is why the dealers can get the updates. Maybe if it moves to Union Pacific or BNSF, I can track it via their automated systems from another thread.

That’s awesome!! Hope it lands home on the earlier side for you. Damn, my car was a day late from being on that train. I wonder how often they ship cars out..

Just chatted with Ford. They told me the car was completed on 9/9 and is awaiting shipping. They estimate 9/23-9/29 for delivery. Fingers crossed.

Im stuck on the 4th. Hoping mine is done too. Did you call ford, use ford chat or talk to your dealer to find out it was built?

I am happy for all of you. On a hunch, I called Union Pacific's number, 800-877-5123, followed the automated prompts to "Trace" then told the automated system my rail car number. UP had received my car yesterday afternoon from Canadian National and gave me an estimated arrival of 9-17-24 at 3:45 pm in Los Angeles, CA. That is next Wednesday!!!! Then comes the truck to go from the railyard to the dealer then dealer prep. But still, that is 10 days earlier than the tracker's forecast. I CAN'T WAIT!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! So much for any sleep. This is worse than Christmas morning as a kid. This is my first Mustang and first any kind of "fun" car. This is a whole new world for me. It was my wife's idea to get this model of car. I love my wife.

How did you obtain the rail car number?

The Ford representative who was chatting with me when I went to the chat option at the bottom right of the Ford Support page. I was also told your dealer may be able to get you your railcar identifier. The dealer also has an application VINView that links the car's GPS locater based on its VIN. That tool can tell you specifically where the car is based on its GPS coordinates.
