Production of Model Year (MY) 25 Mustangs at FRAP (Flat Rock Assembly Plant, Detroit) is currently scheduled to begin on 04-NOV-2024.

Scheduling notes, although US specific, are posted in the Ordering | Pricing | Tracking subforum.
These notes can provide some insight into parts shortages and plant shutdowns that affect all markets.

A Model Year is broken into two "Jobs", Job 1 and Job 2.
This gives the manufacturer the ability to implement changes mid-MY, if required.

So anyone wanting Atlas Blue, Yellow Splash , Rapid Red, or Dark Matter Grey, needs an October Build Date at the latest, or you will miss out on your chosen colour with a MY25 Build.

I'll be pissed if I miss out, my Seg date is 16 Sep so not a lot of wiggle room and my 2nd choice was Dark Matter Grey.

I get dropping yellow but dark blue, dark grey and darkish red are pretty popular colours, it's not like there's a worldwide paint shortage.

With the US MY25 GT Pricing, there is no longer any extra for the Auto over the Manual, but Australia seems to be a rule unto itself!

With the US MY25 GT Pricing, there is no longer any extra for the Auto over the Manual, but Australia seems to be a rule unto itself!

I notice that spec also says we will still be getting wireless phone charging...

So it looks like our market on 2025 will get Bronze package. Nice.

Is that article suggesting the Bronze package will replace the Black pack? It doesn't show the Black pack as part of the options...

Any unbuilt vehicle with the black pack optioned will not be built as ordered. You have the option of deleting the black pack and having your build go ahead as scheduled or moving to the bronze pack and going to the back of the queue. Going to the back of the queue happens because Ford will cancel your existing order and start you again with the new option pack applied.

I know this because I had this conversation with my dealership yesterday. I ordered a GT with black pack and Magneride in November 2023. The dealership told me my ETA with the bronze pack would likely be the end of next year.

In hindsight, I'm wondering if this was an early warning indicator of colours that were going to be deleted for MY25?

Yellow Splash and Rapid Red were never available on the MY24/24.50 Dark Horse.

The 2025 colour options are really boring. First time in Australia where a Yellow or Green or Orange option wasn't available all at the same time. You then have to go back to 2010 in the US for the same lack of colours.
