2025 Mustang Job 1 Production Starts 11/4/24, Scheduling Begins 9/19/24

We've still got this month, September, maybe a bit of October. I'd reach back to the dealer, see if they can confirm the order is paired with an allocation, discuss the what-ifs.

Towards the start of last Fall, Ford sent out a message when they cancelled the remaining, unbuilt DH HP orders for that Calendar Year. I suspect they'd do the same this CY.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday, and the inventory manager confirmed that they would not be building cars with track tires during that time frame, so the earliest my car could be built would be March/April 2025. He did say they should not cancel the orders, and that they should stay in the system until that time.

I bit the bullet and put an order in for a 25MY Dark Horse (600A, Handling Pack, Recaros, Grabber Blue/$1000 difference from 24MY). I'm hearing the same thing in that earliest it will be built could be March/April. Expect about year wait from now. If I get more info I'll happily share.

This post responds to several questions in this thread.

I ordered DH HP on Feb 10, on or about July 1 I was told that all unscheduled retail orders were frozen. I was told my build would be moved to a 2025 with a priority number of 3, but that I had price protection, whenever it gets built, I would get the 24 price on a 25. Which was MSRP, but still no indication when that might get built.

additionally, there was a DHHP delivered to a dealer near me that the person that ordered it could not take delivery. That car was ordered 4-8-23 and delivered in July of 24

They can't build 24 Dark Horses (mine was cancelled with NO EXPLANATION) but they will get to the 25's lick-idly split because there's a $3-$5K price increase. Funny how that works. Do I think they'll get to any of them soon - NOPE... I ordered a GT Premium, PP, A10, Nite Pony on May 5th and it still hasn't been scheduled for build never mind in my driveway... The order is still active and haven't heard a word from Ford in two months and they PROMISED to send emails every 45 days - The factory sucks and their build process sucks along with it ...

1. Nite Pony has been supply-constrained for a year.

2. Email updates mean nothing, you don't have a blend date.

3. Dark Horses require your dealership to actually have priority allocations.


I wish they had another car being built at Flat Rock currently, they're running only one shift, and have had ~2 months of downtime this year, which is just rough.

Yup - I know about the nite Pony constraint this has to be because of the headlight bezel. I don’t think black paint is in low supply - Unless they need a special person to spray black paint … Ford lately is just a three stooges comedy show, no wonder their stock has tanked. If I’m paying $80K for a Dark Horse I’d rather, put that $$$ on a Z06 before I dump it on a dressed up GT. I’m really glad they cancelled my DH order.

Flat Rock is building. There are several dozen cars on the line right now, including Dark Horses, I'm sorry your dealership didn't have the priority in allocations and dedication necessary to make sure one of those was your order.

I'm not sorry - I'm actually happy. Fords F' up and I made out - Got all my money back and found one on the ground for Dealer invoice +XPlan, so I made out quite well, papers were e-signed and it was delivered right to my garage for FREE ...

Anyone have an idea as to the earliest they could receive their 25? Putting order in tomorrow. GSM said they could put lower priority on it so I don't take delivery during winter. (Live in upper midwest). Only concern is if I do that I mot not get delivery well into late summer. I'm tempted to just leave it as high priority and just let it unfold.

I was told when I ordered mine in July that it could be done anytime from Nov to next Feb.
