I was actually looking for this today in mine. I took it out to burn off the remainder of the winter storage fuel so I can prep it for the supercharger install at the end of the month. Its still a little cool around these here parts so I try not to FAFO until the transmission is up to temp.

Guess what, no gauge that I could see on the built in cluster.

6MT PP cars not having a trans temp sensor makes sense to me. The AT make lots of heat under heavy load due to having a torque converter and just the nature of automatic transmissions so it's something to be monitored for sure. The rear end uses a beveled crown and pinion gear with extreme pressure and gear ratios being applied so they do generate some heat but typically much less and is only really something to be monitored under continuous heavy use such as track days, hence the sensor and optional coolers for GT PP and DH.

In my experience anyways a manual transmission is under much less pressure and frictional forces than a differential. In all of my towing trucks the manual transmission would still be relatively cool to the touch despite being bolted directly to the engine meanwhile the rear diff pumpkin I couldn't hold my hand on for more than about 5 or 6 seconds before it got uncomfortable. Only time I could see a MT oil temp being enough of a concern to want to be monitored is if you are taking BIG power to the track, but at that point you've probably dumped enough mods into the car you've already found an aftermarket solution for that too.

Would have been cool to have one anyways though...
