I've held of posting on this subject so I could really contemplate all this, I was really hoping that due to exclusivity of this car it would carry a little more weight, but in the end something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it! There are some that have IMO really cheapened the process by entering the selection process only to walk away from the purchase! For me this car holds a bit of nostalgia because of my original 65' 2+2, so for me every time I look at it and drive it, I will be grinning from ear to ear! Thanks to everyone who has weighted in with their thoughts and opinions! God bless and happy motoring

I will be the same as you when I can get mine in Race Red. I have always said you never know because I had a 66 Coupe Vintage Burgundy, C code, black deluxe int, steel style wheels, factory air, and a rally pack and sold for twice the price of a normal 66 couple because of all the options on it. And like you I will enjoy it cruising in sunny SoCal.

I have a BB coming as well. Although, I have never had the orginal model is it modeled after, I am getting it to honor my late father. I don't need another car though, so keep asking myself what would my dad do? Would he say it's cool to get the option to order one, but pass it on cause I really do not need it?

No one ”needs” a Mustang. It’s strictly your head vs. your heart. Follow which ever one talks loudest to you. Good luck! 👍

Just like Bikeman said, nobody needs a Mustang, you get one because you really want it! My concern is you are the 4th person who entered the drawing for the chance to purchase one and are now sitting on the fence, ultimately it's your choice, but let me ask, did your dealer require a deposit to order it? Also do you think that there might have been other people selected who would no doubt follow through and purchase it, like I am??

Just adding my two cents in - my dealer did not require a deposit but did mention they had to upload a buyers order to the CVOP system to validate my name with the authorization number you receive from Ford once selected. They told me there was no deposit required for the CVOP so they weren’t going to ask for one. This was my 8th purchase in two years from this dealer however.

I had the same experience with my dealership but my history with them spans 2 decades and I have actually lost count on how many I've purchased!

No deposit required at the dealer I picked. Had to do same as mentioned above. The BB would be one that I can actually drive, as the ones I am working on are not running and will not be daily drivers. I haven't really heard much about any other BBs in the area. Haven't even got the buck date or a date of build yet. I too have a family history of over 30 yrs of my family buying Fords from the same dealership. I am the 3rd generation in my family to purchase Ford vehicles from the same family owned dealership. The dealership I picked to order the BB from is one I have worked with before for 2 vehicles.

Just so you know they are only producing 250 of them, and try contacting your dealership, they will receive an email from the project director!
