Active exhaust sound on start up

My 24 GT has a very nice loud exhaust note on start up. After a couple minutes the sound drops back. With the active exhaust set on track mode it still isn't as loud as on start up. Is there a way to set the exhaust so it will sound the same as the start up mode? Thanks in advance.

I haven't checked, but i'm sure the valves in the exhaust open at startup and then gradually close.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised that even in track mode the valves close a little when standing still so as to limit noise when the car is not moving.

The only way to test would be to disconnect them in the open position... (or pull the fuse if possible)

This is based on my experience with my C7 corvette, even in track mode they would close below a certain speed, never being full-time open unless you pulled the fuse.

Startups always going to be louder and more aggressive, until the rpm drop below 1K.

You probably get closer to what you want with a resonator delete and an X pipe. Simple cheap mod

X-pipes are raspy. Go H-pipe if you want a throatier sound.

LOUDER, Retarded Timing on Cold Start to accelerate Catalytic Converter heat up so you really would not want to run retarded timing during normal operation!!

Even with the X Pipe, (or H Pipe for that matter), the decibel level is going to drop once the engine has gotten past the Cold Start period. I even change my settings in MyMode (Track exhaust) after I get in and start the car. I can hear the valves open but it doesn’t change the sounds (very little at best) as it’s still in the Cold Start period. Afterwards, it does have that rumble (or rasp as H Pipe owners claim it ) but the car is at idle where it’s mainly tame.

Does the active exhaust rely on electricity or vacuum? Mine are loud too at startup. Then they calm down.
Kinda makes a fool of the use quiet mode in the morning so you won’t disturb the neighbours.
I wondered if vacuum; the engine may have to build some to close down the exhaust. Just a thought.

The exhaust isn't loud on startup because of the exhaust valves. It's loud due to the PCM cold start routine. No, it's not possible to have that all the time and that's why others are recommending other ways for you to get your volume fix
