...some thoughts on how the S650 could have been improved:

1) Add a button to move both of the rear seats fully forward to aid in the ingress and egress of rear seat passengers. I set the 3rd memory button to move the driver's seat all the way forward, but the left rear passenger has to wait for the front passenger to move the seat, or get out on the driver's side.

2) Add a third door. The Hyundai Veloster and Saturn SC coupe both pulled this off pretty well. I think that this could have been done with the S650 without too much sacrifice of looks, performance, and with a minimum addition of a few inches of body length.

Granted, I bought my Mustang knowing full well that the rear seats are more of an afterthought, and did not plan on carrying passengers all that often. On the plus side, the two passengers that I was carrying last night were both under 5 feet tall, so they had plenty of room. They did compliment me on the ride quality.

😆😆😆😆

You don't need a Mustang. You need a mini-van.

I had a mini-van a couple years back. Chrysler Grand Caravan with the 2.7L turbodiesel and a 5 speed. Slow, but fun, and 40+MPG.

Innovation is the name of the game in the automotive world, which is why there are rumors of a 4-door Mustang coming to market at some point.

jeez. No additional doors thanks. You want a veloster, go get one. Mustangs have two doors.

that’s not innovation. There have been four door cars forever. People can buy one now.

but mustangs have two doors. Adding two more doors = not a mustang.

If I had to add a third door, it'd be a fastback tailgate, as the trunk opening is a little restricting as is, but that would inevitably come at the expense of some torsional rigidity.

They're working on a mustang sedan so that should be a good solution for people who want easier access to the rear seats and more space. I actually hope once this mustang sedan comes out we see mustang adopt a 2 seater more exotic shape.

OK - I had a Chrysler K Car and an AMC Pacer- also some of the most fun cars I have ever owned. Way more fun then all of them Italian Sports Cars and American Muscle Cars....

I mean when you hit 55MPH wide open.....dash board rattling....windows flexing....steering wheel shaking so hard you can barely hold on....now that there is some fun!!!

there is no such thing as a Mustang sedan.

there have always been sports coupes and convertible coupes.

another Car with Mustang-ish qualities is quite welcome. But it won’t be the actual Mustang.
