Alexa connectivity in Canada

I've been searching but haven't been able to find out if I can activate the Alexa features using a Canadian Amazon account. Has anyone been able to do so, if so what is the secret? Besides "don't be a dummy..." Lol!

Haha...hey! I said sorry! Actually haven't got Alexa or Google Home right now. Would go with Home anyways if I did (I have read devices can co-exist sorta??) but hey it's a free trial!

I have Alexa working in Canada. I use it to to turn on house lights if I come home late and can open my garage with voice but find it easier to just hit the button on the visor. Although I use Alexa a lot at home, I rarely use it in the car.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. I decided to go with the "sexy Alexa <grin!>" due to compatibility with my existing devices.

Did you use a Canadian account when you set up your Ford Alexa Built in?

Actually solved the problem.

Just ignore the prompts on the Sync screen, except for the code. Go to amazon.ca/code. After (for me) 3 Amazon security log in and confirmation codes being entered thru app or web, it links. I tried this previously but must have messed up along the way.

Oh, one more thing...notify your wife that you will be testing it. Startled her enough to jump off her chair!
