I removed my air intake lids after reading a post about performance with them (as well as being tested with various filters with lid on/off).
I'm not certain there's necessarily a performance gain out of it that's significant but the sound is nice. You can definitely hear the intakes working.
Has anyone else done this? To my knowledge (not a mechanic or engineer, I just read what I find) it doesn't seem like it'll be harmful.
