Anyone else think companies are fleecing us with pricing on some parts

you do 3D printing as part of a job? nice, hopefully not with any of those Stratasys scam machines. that company is so anti-competitive that they're suing Bambu Lab (basically patent trolling) because the X1-Carbon and X1-E is encroaching into their monopolized "enterprise" space because of Bambu's great reliability, pricing, and availability of service documentation and parts. up until now, Stratasys was basically untouchable in the enterprise 3D printing space. now Bambu is kicking their ass in 16 colors
It's a side job i'm building currently just using klipper upgraded ender 5 pro's the bamboo labs printers are absolutely amazing machines. Not a fan of scamsys. Getting ready to look into a larger format printer. Not sure who just yet one contender is the modix 1200. With heated enclosure. I still want a carbon though.

i used to have an Ender 5 Pro, i hated working with it and it drove me out of the 3D printing space for about 3 years. im much more of a "out of the box" kind of guy. no assembly, just taking out some shipping blocks and its ready to print

I haven't. It just seems to be the norm with this generation. Feels like they are just sticking any old ridiculous price on things. MP concepts seems to be the only ones with reasonable pricing to the part being offered. That and the long delay in producing anything that wasn't carbon fiber.
Which 'generation' is that? Do you know the age of the owners?

If you can sell something at a ridiculous price good on you. It's called capitalism, which most Americans think is fantastic

I agree it's better to go with something tuned and ready. All in all I got them built and running but the perceived cost savings isn't there when you add all the extra parts and maintenance required time, money and failed prints later. That's why I'm looking into an out of box solution. Waiting on more reviews of the new prusa XXL multi head unit. Supposedly can do a 75 degree without support.

Without using names... I just ordered factory mud flaps for the rear (no fronts available) from the only dealer who had them (supposedly) in stock. The freight was $35+ when the true shipping costs are certainly under $10 (USPS). So my take is, the charge is nothing but extra profit, just like those door guards and VINs etched into the glass!
I ordered my RTR front splitter from CJ's simply because RTR wanted $100 to ship it. CJ's was free shipping plus an 8% discount code. Got it in three days.

I got the Ford front splitter for free, told the dealership I wanted a top shelf purchase experience and I thought a free splitter would be top shelf and after some wrangling the GM agreed 👍
You never know what you could get if you don't ask 😉
