Anyone regret getting the convertible?

2024 convertible Mustang GT premium with every option and package including npp, PP, Magnaride. Initial thinking was my daily cruiser, never thought I'd fall in love with the speed and power like I have. Problem is I have nowhere to use it! Rented an s650 Ecoboost convertible, which is how I got introduced to the Mustang family, and got pulled over twice for speeding (just warnings luckily) so I've been extra cautious with the GT. But man I want to rip it! Not willing to drill into the car for a roll bar so tracks are probably out of the question. Starting to think I should have saved some cash and got the Ecoboost convertible as it's plenty powerful and easily doubled my current gas mileage, or got the fastback for improved aerodynamics and ability to TRACK IT without mods, but again, didn't know what I know now. Current convertible owners, how do you do it lol

This is my second EcoBoost Premium convertible. No regrets on either. I drive with the top down all the time. No matter the temperature. I left the house two days ago and there was a light drizzle that stopped within about two miles. I got a lot of weird looks, but I just love the top down experience. (My other "car" is a Harley-Davidson FLHTK.) If it was raining hard, I would have put the top up before leaving the garage. If I am driving and run into rain, I will leave the top down, as lone as I am not in the city with traffic and stop lights. So, no. No regrets.

Not a second of regret here for getting the convertible. I put the top down basically any day it's not raining. There's just nothing quite like the top down experience. Totally changed driving for me (for the better). Plus you get the hear that beautiful engine sound all that much better.

No regrets whatsoever (Gen6 for 6.5 years, get my 2024 mid of August).
Nothing beats having a top as a backup in case of rain, something my motorcycle cannot offer.
Also, the top has compared to other verts very low wind noise, all that is a bit louder is the great V8 and its exhaust.
Drove it 10h straight (of course, short breaks for filling up car and myself) without feeling tired. Seats suit me perfectly, cannot say enough positive things about it.
Always try to split holidays, one week flight to an island and one week roadtrip.

When you have an open top V8, you can appreciate it at any speed. I had an X150 Jaguar XK convertible, and loved its woofle pottering around at 10 miles an hour as much as I did ripping it along at 100. I expect much the same from the Mustang, if I can ever get one ordered.

Hard tops encourage you to go faster, so that wouldn't help, and a modern four cylinder is never going to stir the soul aurally, whilst still being plenty fast.

Adamrx11,
There will be numerous chances to enjoy that power. Considering the options you have, the ride and handling should be exceptional. Just sit back and enjoy! You just have to find the right roads. Since I got mine, I drive the most twisted and crooked roads I can find. Lots of fun! Who wants an interstate, when I can arrive mentally and physically exhausted. :surprised: Just leave your wife home!

This is my first convertible and I have the top down whenever possible.
Got this wind deflector: www.lovethedrive.com and the ride is awesome every time!
This is my second convertible. I had a Saab convertible, that came with a wind screen. It made a big difference. So far, a couple of weeks, I don't find the wind bad in my GT. I'm going to wait and see how I like it, on a long road trip. Glenn

This is my 8th Mustang, 4th vert. Go to the track on tune and test days. Many will not enforce the roll bar requirement on a non NHRA day.

I love my convertible GT. Ecoboost would be more practical with better mileage, but like the old Boar's Head commercial goes - compromise elsewhere.

I had a S197 and got a WindRestrictor that easily went under the rear headrests and I ran a wire to a 9V battery to light it up. The new WindRestrictor for S550/S650 mounts to front and passenger seats. I chose hard-wired to the tail lights and it looks great, but I slightly regret it as I can't move the driver's seat unless someone moves the passenger seat with me.

On the plus side, it's my go-to reason why I can't let anyone but me drive it.

How is the wind deflector treating you?? Been on the fence about one. Does it really block wind in your face? What about noise especially??

That's the exact one I've been on the fence about. Can you give a review of it? Especially as far as wind and noise reduction is concerned? Is it worth it?? I figured the seats thing might be an issue with the way it attaches but I'd rather do it that way than drill into the vehicle!
