.... found the tyre pressures from delivery were a bit higher than I liked, and pressures would climb quickly even on a short drive (were at 35 all round cold but would climb to 38/39)......have dropped to 32 and after they warm up sit at 35, no issues with traction in the wet either at these pressures.

I was wondering...
My dealer had the tyres at 40 cold, which seemed excessive to me.

I'll be dropping them when I get back home.

Probably should put my list of things I have found for all the new and soon to be owners to check....know we mention things around the forums - but may be a benefit to have a one stop shop for anything that anyone finds to throw in the one thread.

If one of us has experienced something - the assumption will be that it won't be a one off.

I found later, that my tyres were also over inflated when I took delivery (upto 40 PSI). Driving home through a storm was a bit hairy as the grip was quite ordinary. Since I have dropped it down to the recommended pressures the tyres grip very well. I think I read somewhere that the factory over inflate the tyres to reduce the possibility of flat spotting during the long journey to our shores & all that sitting around in quarantine!!

I found with my 18, when I used to take it to the dealer for servicing, it would always come back with 38 or 40 PSI cold. Numbskulls. 32 cold is the recommended inflation on the door tags. Do the S650 tags give the same inflation.

Which ship was your car on and when did it arrive in Australia.

From memory, my car actually arrived at the dealer in January. I'm not sure when it actually arrived in Australia.

The dealer has now confirmed I am definitely picking her up at 2pm on Monday! Can't wait.

Not including the one and only official notification from Ford Aust months ago, I haven't had any communication from my dealer or Ford Aust about pending updates or any timeline since.

Took delivery 10-Oct-2024.

Its lovely hey! I honestly have not used the audio system in mine. I should really turn it on and make sure all the speakers and sub woofer works, but this car doesnt need an audio system. The noise is just so sublime.

The B&O system is really solid. Quite surprisingly good quality for a Ford - I think it's good value.

But I know what you mean. I listened to a few songs, then switched it off entirely. That gorgeous burbling V8 really stirs the soul; there are no words to describe how lovely it is.

I was also very impressed with the sound dampening in the cabin with the soft top up. The whole thing feels surprisingly refined and composed. I'm over the moon! This is my very first Mustang and my first convertible.

I wonder how long before Ford's records are updated. Checking my VIN via the website as well as FordPass says my car is still affected.

I'm guessing that it might take a little longer for the dealers updates to be reflected on the Ford website. Mine was updated by Ford before delivery to the dealers and the website was updated within 24hrs of them starting the update process.
