Well, the unexpected happened.... THEY GAVE ME My CAR! 🤯🤯

For those still in 24C35 jail, hang in there. They will fix your car soon. I'm still gathering my myself and my thoughts. All I'll say is that the car is amazing! Sound is amazing! Feels like I finished a marathon, but it was worth it. I'll post photos in my other thread

So I put my mustang in for the 3 month 3000km piece of mind service today. I asked about the recall he had nothing for me. I also put in a complaint about my rear window tinting, the dealer with their window tinter 1. killed my rear demister 2. Scratched the back of the driver's seat with his foot. I am surprised to find out that the fix for the rear demisters is an entire new rear window they are going to fix it at no cost to me and he wasn't clear on the leather fix weather it will be some product application or an entire new leather cover on the driver's seat not sure.

The first time the IPC went black on me (months ago), it only lasted for literally 2 seconds, before the screen came back up all by itself.

Now today, just then, was going for a drive "for the hell of it" and the screens power up as normal, I reverse out, and then into 1st gear, but the IPC dies.

I pull over, stop the car, restart it, and nope. :curse:

I go around the block, back into the garage, stop it, handbrake on, turn vehicle off, get out of vehicle, lock it. Wait. Unlock vehicle, get back in, and start over.

Nope. :explode:

Now waiting for dealer's service guru to return my call about this.

How is it, vehicles held in pre-delivery have been recently updated AND delivered, whilst existing vehicles are being kept in a state of limbo?

There is something NQR (not quite right) about all of this.

Not happy, Jan.

Dealer did say to me pulling the negative on the battery for 20mins will restart the screen, but I’m guessing will reset everything back to defaults as well

Its a shitshow. I just noticed mine still shows that the recall is incomplete when checking my VIN on the website or in the FordPass app. I reached out to Ford via Facebook messenger and asked them about this. They are now taking it up with the dealership. Probably paperwork or something that wasnt filed to clear the recall. Amateur hour.

So my GT is booked in with my dealer to get the 24C35 update done in 3 weeks.
(I'm away with work in between)

Apparently I am their first S650 owner to ask for this to be done.
I was warned it was a 5 - 6 hour process to complete, so it's an overnight job.

I'm not entirely comfortable being a guinea pig. :lipssealed:
It's always nice when a mechanic (or do we call them technicians these days) has experience under their belt.

My new DH arrived Uk new year been at dealers since waiting 24c35 fix. Fix now available and done last week and passed testing. Collecting 1st March ( new plate date here). Ordered early Feb 24, built Aug 24 but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.
