The Mustang is a bargain regardless of what you call it. There are a few SUVs, and truck or two, which will give the Mustang a run for the money. For about the same price, you can buy an Ariel that a Dark Horse with a Whipple will always be in second place. All this said, a Mustang GT comes with lots of creature comforts, goes faster than 90% of the owners can handle, and still looks great for a moderate amount of money. Tell me where you can get a better bargain?

I guess you don't like to hear the truth. No problem. You may identify the Mustang as a pink flying pig. If that suits you better, I'll give you that.

Thought we could share thoughts about facts and changes throughout the years, but you don't want to hear none of that and stick with your own fantasy.

Fine by me. Keep it that way. 😂

Truth is. American car manufacturing is dead. They now cater to the rich. I'm going build a Nova from a crate engine and 4-spd transmission. I have lots of engine parts. I'm going back to basics, to what feels good, to something that screams American, that makes people quake in their boots, and rattles doors. American iron, American Thunder.

I just go with what my eyes like to see and what my ears like to hear. American, Chinese, or Zimbabwe, I don't really base my opinion on where the brand is based or by who it's manufactured.

I decided to do the same. I actually put a video up on about the same topic. I ordered a dark horse without the Dark horse price. I ordered my PP with all the bells and whistles and it still was less that the DH. I got the 401A premium package with the performance pack, magnaride with Blue calipers and upgraded the automatic transmission with 3:55 rear gears. I also added the active exhaust which gives me a bit more Hp over the base model, and I opt for the Recaro seats. I tell you it feels just like it. Especially with the upgraded gears. Except for the extra 10Hp the Dark horse has over my PP. I don’t think it’s worth an extra 10-20K for 10-11 HP more. I added the RTR side skirts and the Gurney flap to my rear spoiler and it looks like the DH. I always have people coming to me saying they love my DH and when I tell them it’s not they are surprised.
Go with the PP and build it like you wish like I did. Check out my video on YouTube and see for yourself. Hope this helps.

Nice car you've put together for yourself. They do have some beefed up internals on the DH as well as some extra coolers, which may be of benefit if one decides to add power later on.

Base Dark Horse vs GT Premium PP W/Magride.

Hey y’all, I’m in the researching and testing phase for an S650. It’s hard to find a car to test where I am.

Question:
Has anyone driven a base Dark Horse and a GTPremium PP with MagRide?
Is the MagRide essentially the same?
Or is there differences in your experiences?

I prefer the GT front end a bit more but you can usually get a nice discount on a GT, over a DH.

Upgrading my wife’s 2016 S550 V6.
Bunch of threads about the subject and most of the times they become a GT vs DH owners argument.

My opinion is if you can afford both and want a manual get a Dark Horse and dont look back.
Its not just tremec vs mt82 but also the shorter gearing that makes it so good.

A part from the tranny the Dark Horse is just a better GT...plus, I dont see anything wrong with this front end 😊

Beautiful! I do like the dark horse front don’t get me wrong at all. The black plastic under the headlights in person doesn’t vibe with me personally. Not like it’s BAD just not my tastes. You are right tho, the trem is FANTASTIC.

Unfortunately, the wife doesn’t want to learn to drive standard lol.

Over the past week or so I've finally decided on getting a '25 GT Premium with PP, Active Exhaust, Magnaride, 3.55 Limited Slip Gears, Night Pony Package with Red Interior, and Race Red Exterior.
Didn't opt for the 12 speaker either as I will be replacing them.
Build: GT Premium

Was originally set on DH, but it's simply going to be used for daily driving and never going to track. Price difference certainly was a factor. 5.7K between my build and DH Premium one. Gotta take into account Tinting, Sound System install, A/S tires I'll put on it, and other exterior options too.
DH has extra cooling, but that only really benefits me if I'm on a track or running it hard often. The front end look I can order and install as well.

Chose not to go with DH base b/c then I lose all the Premium Trim options: Approach Detection, Heated + Cooled Seats, Red Interior, Turn signals on Mirrors being main ones.

This is my dilemma lol.

I plan to put on Corsa extreme valved cutback. tint. and maybe a different splitter.possible lowering springs.

overtime will install sway bars, different tires, and stop the hop kit.

it will be our long term car. she wants the V8 and so do I, while we can get them.

Yes! I really like them however I thought they was going to be in black when I ordered the vehicle. In the picture the wheels where black then when I got it I saw that they where silver. I might powder coat them in black.
