And what was the German Sedan and how did it go?? I guess maybe by you posing this question that your outcome wasn’t a positive one?? And honestly, I know when to allow someone to try me out based on knowledge as to what they have … not that I just wait for cars (or trucks) to egg me on in to a high speed exhibition either.
Audi A6L and I did have a positive outcome. But I was surprised at how well he hung in there. The wife and I were on a weekend getaway, ignored him for awhile, he was getting obnoxious to the point that my inner 18 year old took over.

Fair enough and those aren’t a slouch either. And I get it where that “Youth” mindset takes over 😆😆😆. Kinda hard to ignore sometimes, trust me.

I figured my speed warning system (the Wife) was going to sound the alarm……surprisingly I think she was into it.😎

I've seen a test review of the Euro S650 10 spd. Theirs are 36hp down on our GT's, but it did 100 - 200 kmh in 10.7. Their reviewer said he considered anything 10 secs or better to be a quick car.
I reckon full fat Mustangs would get pretty close to 10.
Mine certainly doesn't lack overtaking grunt.

I have a Dark Horse 6 spd with a Whipple. I never give passing much thought it just happens poof I'm past you.
I think that way on my bike; a mapped zx10r with about 200 rwhp, which sounds like it’s not much, but it’s good enough for a mid 9 quarter mile and a top speed ... well, it depends on how chunky the rider is ;-) 200 is certainly doable at about 180 pounds for the rider. And, not even $20k in it :p

The A10 Mustang is pretty darn good. In sport mode, if you stab the brakes, just enough to slow a bit, she downshifts immediately from 10 to 8. If you drop anchor she continues to downshift aggressively and if you get back on the gas, it’s where it needs to be in the power band or darn close. If you are concerned about passing and haven an oncoming line of traffic, use the paddles. if you’re in 10, drop at least to 7 and probably lower and hit the gas.

A lot of car guys have no idea how mentally fast even ordinary bikes are, let alone the hyper bikes.
Even something like an MT09 (847cc) will do 60 in under 3 secs and 10.7 quarter.

Oh, I do. Heck, even in the early 70’s, the Kawasaki 750 (also known as the widow maker) was turning 11 second quarter mile times in pure stock form. I can only imagine what today’s bikes can do.

I like normal mode with sports steering. I find that other modes are not as good for coasting, and the cur clunks forward when passing. I set up a custom profile with basically that. I love the stiffer steering feel, so I don't need to "hold" the wheels in place, the car just coasts forward.

I guess I need confess the real basis of my question….I had a high end German sedan pull along side of me on the interstate while cruising about 70 mph and he wanted to try me out. My experience with those type cars are they are better designed for Autobahn type driving and tend to be better suited for higher speed acceleration and top end.
Once you push the pedal to the floor completely, driving mode doesn't really matter much anymore because the transmission would shift as many gears down as possible in all gears afaik.
Driving mode has more effect when you have to release the pedal for braking, sharp turning etc., then the up and downshifts are different and the throttle response is different.
But in pedal to the metal situations there should be not much of a difference.
I'm getting tried on the Autobahn on a regular basis and accelerate that way from 60 mph right into the governor at 155 mph.

I appreciate your input on the transmission shifts. I’ve also wondered whether or not different drive modes had any effects on throttle response. On my C8, sport mode and Z mode have a slightly quicker throttle response than track. In track mode the throttle response is more linear.

I also have the custom mode set the same as you with the addition of track exhaust for daily driving.

Sport and Drag Modes are definitely way more Responsive for sure. Track Mode, as you and another Forum member replied, is more of a Linear feel Mode meant for Track use as in accelerator pressure vs a "touchier throttle feel" in Sport or Drag. And I have a Coworker who has a C8 and that Z-Mode is something else!!

One minor complaint I have of the S650, is that the normal steering more feels numb and loose. Sport mode feels like normal mode in my old Mach 1 and is much better all around.

Can confirm.
We're only talking a 20 HP difference with the same transmission (assuming you have an A10). I wouldn't expect passing to feel any different. The A10 downshifts pretty quick when you stab the trottle in any mode.
