So I’m trying to decide which H-pipe to go with. I LOVE the stock active exhaust need the same tone, even deeper if possible but more volume. Steeda, Roush? Which one should I go with? Also I really like how the stock system does have occasional burble and pop, will I lose that or will it be amplified? Thanks in advance!

You will not lose those little burbles or pop, in fact they will enhance with the Res Delete and addition of the H-Pipe. I went with the Steeda X-Pipe and I love how those things have leveled up!!!

Enjoy fellow S650'r!!!

Both are great options. If you ever planned to change out to another axleback, looking at the Corsa HH is a good idea, too (or heck, even with stock active).
The Steeda one is one of the most common, though, as the quality and price and top notch.
A resonator delete would enhance such sound!

X or H or HH. It’s all subjective from a sound quality standpoint.

i like the older muscle car sounds from back in my day so went H.

Others enjoy that more tuned Ferrari sound (a bit raspy for my taste) so go X.

The only way to be sure is to hear different H pipe brands for yourself and decide.

Steeda makes some good quality stuff. I have had a ton of their gear on the two mustangs I have owned and have their H pipe on my Dark Horse.

Had an x pipe on my s550 and it got old for me quick. I agree with you, old school rumble with h pipe is my favourite. Only question is roush or steeda as videos don’t do these cars justice haha

I really could not say. I like the Steeda and have heard it. You don't get that Snap, Crackle, and Pop. If I wanted that I'd hang with all the young punks who have no taste in anything they do with their pants hanging halfway to their boney knees. Both Steeds and Roush have great reputations. I would say the Steeda H-Pipe. Only thing could persuade me is their price. But I think I'll wait until after my DH is Procharged. Since the exhaust will definitely sound different after being SCd and the SC kicks in on the freeway. Steeds has a lot of products I like. There's a crazy comingling of a H and X pipe out there. If gives the best of both worlds at once. But the X part of hangs an inch lower which can cause speed bumps to smash and or grind a hole in it.

Ah I see. I’m not looking for any excessive pops. The stock exhaust pops ever so slightly on occasional downshift manual. Like one quick pop.

I seen the Steeda H-pipe was almost $300, Roush was about $250, and Mishimoto almost $200. Any of them should be great choices. The 2 in 1 is the Switchback by Borla. Kind of interesting. But the x part hangs down an inch. If they made the units pipes oval shaped they'd give much better clearance. The pipes sounds good for drag racing. Try Beefcake Racing. They may have what you want. If you have a 6 Speed a Steeda short throw would really help. Plus they have aluminum shift balls natural, blue, red, or black.

I run the Borela cross fire pipe and it sounds awesome.

Mint, I was honestly looking at the mgw short shifter with they’re stainless shift knob!

I just have the regular Ford shifter with a Blue Titanium. I bet the short throw shifters are made by a the same company that makes them all. Stainless is probably real good. They say heavier shifters are smoother. Some same heavy weight wears the shift assembly faster. I'm new to all this stuff. Plus with a Dark Horse there's not a lot I need.

Have you had the steeda short shifter before or MGW?

I had the Ford street set up on my 24 GT Whippled, and sold it to a colleague after getting a slightly used 24 DH. It's bone stock. Just got back a few days ago and tried her out. I liked the shifter balls on the MGW. It's nice you can pick your own weight and insert designs. Great idea. And the short shift race kits look like quality. But I think maybe the transmissions would have to be taken out. No problem if you want to change clutches. I may go out tomorrow and pick up a couple Steeds H-Pipes for May daughter's DH. Rough is cheaper but I seen a video of guys putting one on a car. They probably carry Toush too. I'll keep my mind open when I go.
