So, I bought a set of SVE lift pucks for my GT. Remove bolt, insert bolt through puck, reinstall bolt at 80 ft/lbs. So easy even I can’t fuck it up…….wrong!!! Is this safe to drive until I can get into a shop to have the remainder of the bolt removed? And does anyone have any suggestions on getting it out myself? lol.

Can you get to the other side at all, and put a double nut on it and just remove it that way?

Otherwise, I would start by hitting it with a small torch to break up the loctite. Then drill a small hole in the bolt and get a bolt extractor in there. Then clean the threads up and put your new bolt back in it.

I installed the same pucks, but I purchased new bolts instead of reusing the old bolt, because the bolt is a torque to yield bolt and is designed only for a single use and is compromised if reused. I know this won't help you get out the bolt that broke, but that might be the reason why it did break.

Any chance you have the part number for the bolts?

Looks like the pin is still in so there’s that. I suspect should be good enough to cautiously mosey down to the shop with replacement in hand. I hesitate to tell you to drill this and cut that cuz i really don’t want to be to blame if it just crumbles every time you torque on it. As in it looks like some threads are showing but hard to tell how much shank and if enough to grab ahold of or drill it but unless you’ve already got the stuff it may be quicker and easier to hit up a local trusted shop.

Thats fried, i know. Started installing jacking rails and the bolt on mine finally broke free but now just spins in place. Sprayed penetrating oil on others, waiting for some feed back before trying to remove.

Cost me a few bucks at the body shop. Ok, more than a few. They dropped the engine 4” to get to the frame.

this is exactly why Ford says to throw out some bolts. they're torque to yield are only guaranteed to be safe for one installation and removal
