I know you're just being facetious (either that or you know nothing about cars). And name me any Corvette that has the history of this car. But again I just picked this one as a relevant picture (although this is one of my all time favorite automobiles.

if I could afford the Ferrari I’d own them both. Easy peasy!

Oh for sure if I was Leno I’d definitely have both not going to lie. I’d feel far less guilty canyon carving in the Vette though. I grew up with a bunch of NFL’ers and all of the bragged about how many miles they didn’t have on their Ferrari’s which was wild. The Porsche guys are more like the Vette guys and drive the piss out of the cars.

I'd get one but I just do not feel like they will hold their value well enough. Now I am not talking about an investment but when I want out I do not want to lose my ass either.

I don’t want them to go out and buy one. I want them to buy the expensive car, get smug with me, thinking they’re cool because of their car, and get embarrassingly smoked while I laugh at the hole in their wallet. And then go back to the hotel and offer a ride to the girl they’ve been eyeing, using nothing more than my dashing good looks, my superior horsepower, and maybe… I don’t know… a pop tart or something.

it may not have the cachet of some Ferrari’s lambo’s etc. but when it smacks them around in front of their girlfriends, there’s no getting around the hit to the ego.

It’s like God’s answer to the swollen pride of some exotic car owners. Head swelling a bit too much lately? Smack. A reality check courtesy of the zr1.

As @Bikeman315 said, they don't care, and if they do, they'll just go buy one. Do you really think if you can afford 600K for an SF90 that you can't afford a 200K Corvette? Spend some time on the Ferrari forums and you'll find that many owners appreciate cars of all makes--including Corvettes and Mustangs--and most of them have a collection of cars, not just Ferraris. There are several threads on FerrariChat about the C8 and the VAST majority of posts are in appreciation. Some drive C8s daily and use the Ferrari on the weekend. Are there douchebag exotic car owners out there that think they're superior because they own an expensive car? Absolutely. But take a look around here--there's plenty of morons with any marque.

This is true when it comes to overall value and resell. But for people that have been mildly successful in life but will never have the resources to own said cars mentioned above now have an option that is “under priced” for the performance to experience what most never have. And that is just wild to me that this car is seriously about to embarrass some uber expensive big name brand super cars. It’s never happened before and I think it’s awesome!

You could make the argument that the Corvette has had world-beating performance for quite a while now. That's one of the things that makes Corvettes special--it is a world class sports car that is attainable for many.

I don’t doubt it. My point is that I’d take the faster car. A Ferrari isn’t the status symbol it used to be.
