My 2024 GT Premium went into storage about 30 days ago. It's setting covered in my home garage with a Battery Tender attached.
I was wondering if updates Ford sent out will be completed on my car while it's living on the battery tender.

It should as the car battery is not disconnected. The car computer will periodically check to see if there are any updates available.

Things sometimes come up in discussions that may or may not be true. I did read sometime ago that updates might not happen if the hood is open. This might be as maybe the car is being serviced. I hope someone with inside info can comment.

Good point on the hood. I do have my hood slightly unlatched to accommodate the battery tender wires.

The tender wire can easily be routed next to the headlight inner edge to allow for the hood to shut if it is a issue. My hood is also unlatched so I will follow this thread for more info.

Most, (if not all) of my updates happened while driving the car, then parking for a short time, nothing that I can tell for updates during storage. Some updates require the car to power up to finish... I certainly wouldn't count on it being up to date when you take it out of storage in the spring.

Wire for battery charger can easily be routed so that the hood will close (on top of the headlight).

all that happens when the vehicle is parked is that Ford's server communicates with it that there is an update. if the vehicle does not respond by being started, the request times out in 1 to 2 weeks. after that, Ford's server will try to communicate again in the future. when the vehicle is started, it downloads the update from Ford's server in the background, then installs it after the vehicle is turned off again

Despite my Edge, Dark Horse and F150 (only vehicles connected to the Ford app) always being on a tender when parked, they still go into sleep mode per the Ford app. I have 7 vehicles, so when I am not driving them, they are always on a maintainer, even if it is for only a couple days.
