I was back home all this past week (Utica).. Holy hell it was bad Thurs night. West side got it ten fold worse. Was in Dearborn and Wayne Wed before all the chaos.

I've had my mustang for about 5 days now and have some initial thoughts about it. Some apply only to the EB premium and some are mustang in general and some are items on quite a few newer cars. In no particular order:

1. Interior, though an exceptionally nice place, is a bit bland in black. I would not choose space grey, but an option for peanut butter brown on the premium trim would look GREAT against atlas blue. Probably would have gone that route had it been available.

2. Not a fan of the electric e-brake.

3. Power still makes me smile. For those getting more, God be with you. I am coming from a car with only 130hp, so 315 seems like a LOT.

4. Visibility is actually really great. Much better than I thought it would be given the size of the windows etc. BLIS is very helpful when on the highway.

5. Premium sound system should be more than enough for all but audiophiles. Solid amount of bass and clear all the way through the range.

6. The mustang is NOT a small car in it's exterior size. Again this might be the case because I'm coming from a Honda Fit, which is a very small car.

7. Ambient light is underwhelming.

8. Stock brakes have plenty of grab and good modulation.

9. There is a shocking lack of storage in the interior.

10. Seats, particularly the vented function, are awesome. Very comfortable and easy to find a good seating position.

11. Dash screens are nice, however a HUGE downside is the HVAC controls. There's no chance of operating them effectively without taking your eyes off the road. There's just not that tactile feedback as with physical knobs/controls. I'd say Ford went just a bit too far on this one.

12. I've settled on the "calm" dash, others are a bit too busy.

13. 10-speed trans is good for the most part, but sometimes struggles to find the right gear for the load and can seem bogged down. Probably could be fixed via software update.

13. Paint and panel gap on mine are actually very good. No complaints whatsoever on that front.

14. Side skirts are molded perfectly for jack points making it very easy to find them and are the perfect side if using a jack puck. I used them when painting the calipers.

OK, anyone know the standard wheel fitment for the EB premium? I'm looking to get some wheels with winter tires before Michigan goes dark for 6 months again.

In case you did not know this, the door pockets are very deep. I can stick my whole forearm all the way back.
