On Friday, I picked up (or rather, I had a friend pick up for me because unfortunately, I have a cast on my ankle due to a motorcycle accident) my new Mustang Dark Horse.

I can't drive it and won't be able to for another 30 days, but it's finally home.

I noticed something strange that I can't explain, so I'm asking here if anyone knows anything about it: the car, which has a Tremec manual transmission, still has the paddles on the steering wheel like the automatic versions.

I think they might have mistakenly installed the steering wheel from the automatic version on my manual one, since neither the instruction manual nor the dealership could explain what the paddles are for on a manual Mustang.

Does anyone know anything about this?

The paddles can be removed and replaced by a blanking plate, which is what is normal on a manual car. The steering wheels are the same, just with either paddles or a blanking plate. Of course getting the blanking plates alone may be quite difficult.

Caspita, 10 mesi ancora da aspettare è un casino.
Vedila così, c’è chi sta peggio: io mi sono rotto il perone in scooter 12 ore prima dell’appuntamento per il ritiro della macchina dalla concessionaria (l’ho presa da Ford Ambrostore) ed il mezzo lo ha dovuto portare a casa un mio amico.
Fino a Natale rimarrà in box, ferma, con me a contemplarla

Oh yes - a manual car shouldn't have paddles

It would be cool if you(or a tuner) could eventually program those paddles to do something. The manual SS 1LE's all come with paddles but they are the auto rev-match on/off buttons so something like that.

A dire il vero (e faccio riferimento anche alla moto) a Milano se non fai il cretino nella guida per queste cose non rompono le scatole
