My car doesn't have Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). The lower and upper buttons in the left side cluster of the steering wheel are blank.

Now...if my car had ACC, could I opt to use regular, fixed speed Cruise Control or is the only Cruise Control setting "Adaptive" on ACC cars?

I'm asking because I drove my GF's Corolla (with ACC) over the weekend and I couldn't figure out how to disable the Adaptive portion of the Cruise Control.
Thanks!

It has both. You have to go to the info screen to turn it off. I still haven’t figured out the other setting that keeps it at 5 mph over the speed limit. I wish they had just a simple toggle switch or push button to switch between the two.

Correct, although you can toggle between the two via the button on the steering wheel and the ā€˜braking’ message (as well as the icon) will show which is active.

Then I'm sure someone else would complain because they "forgot" that they took it out of ACC and the car crashed into someone in front of them, so Ford "engineers" must be to blame.
