Oh, my bad. I was not aware that none of the DH models have the A.S.S.

there are some ways to make it not stop. Hoping the interior climate is one of them. Either that or I can drive with the door open ;)

Your Vehicle is at High Altitude.
I live South of Denver.
I thought my vehicle Start Stop wasn’t working?
Our house is at 5386 Ft. above sea level.
I don’t turn it off because our Altitude seems to be high enough, it doesn’t work?
I guess the Altitude has something to do with it.

There's a $100 module available for permanent turn off that "feature".

Auto start/stop sucks! And I really hate this statement from the owners manual. Why can this not be permanently turned off!!! I hate this feature!

-Can I permanently switch the system off?
No. The system plays an important role in reducing the fuel consumption and the CO2 emissions.
If you think that's bad...some whacko State Rep in California has come up with a warning that you are going 10MPH over the speed limit (obnoxious chime) using GPS to get the exact speed limit where you are driving...best part is that you will not be able to turn if off...until you get down to the speed limit. The law would require that all 2030 cars and beyond will have this program installed. at the factory. I'm sure some hackers will figure a way out to defeat the system...but it just never ends with these "nannys."

Its all about control. Soon you will only get 4 sheets of paper and use stall number 3.👌🏻

Maybe they should require ev’s to have a button that permits the driver to exceed the posted, and sometimes variable, speed limit. Just imagine having to press the automated speed suppression button each time in order to exceed by 1 mph.

Already have this in the eu set for 1mph over the limit. It’s enforced as a chime for the last few years. It does go away after a seconds or significantly over the limit when it gets it wrong.
For now it’s only a warning but it will become a limiter one day and that’s only a software switch away on existing cars.

It can be disabled but only when the vehicle is stationary, it also uses the camera to read the signs if the limit has changed but my mustang gets it wrong where a limit has recently changed.

Despite all the backlash over the default urban 20mph limit in wales it’s slowly creeping across the rest of the UK.
It’s a limit that’s worse for almost everyone. 20mph is noisier on average, higher emissions / worse gas mileage, increased risk of accidents due to lack of attention and autonomous systems less likely to intervene.
You are more likely to survive being hit at that speed as a pedestrian but that assumes zero driver response and the pedestrian paying zero attention to traffic.
If people are told it’s safe they’ll take more risks.

When the limit is forced why is it posted, that’s the true definition of a tease.

The world is doomed already.
The orchestra on Titanic played while sinking, so let us and our kids ("last generation") enjoy some good V8 symphony for that little time we have left.

If that’s what it takes to avoid the A.S.S. system I would personally consider it a bargain. I find it to be the most irritating device ever foisted involuntarily on a consumer.
Nah, if you were driving in the 70's it was the seatbelt interlock where if you didnt buckle your seatbelt the car wouldn't start. With 70's electronics how well do you think that device worked? So well even congress was disgusted with it and was eliminated from mandate a few years later when THEIR cars wouldn't start!
