I did an American Thunder cat back for my F-150 in 2017. Cost $795 then. Seems about right with inflation. Still way cheaper than the Magnaflow system.Does that say $889 for an axleback?![]()
Are Flowmaster and Magnaflow pretty comparable when it come to quality and functionality?Yes! This! When you compare the factory exhaust to this one it's no comparison. The boys at Flowmaster do an excellent job with acoustics. Price is much more reasonable than Magnaflow, too. I would love someone to dyno this system and let's see if the power gains are real.
They will sound different. Flowmaster is a chambered design (they do have some flow through glass pack units now), and Magnaflow is a glass pack flow through design. Only quality issue is Flowmaster is made from 409 stainless whereas the Magnaflow is made from 304 which is a better material. 409 does reveal surface rust, but is lifetime guaranteed against perforation. The tips on Flowmaster are 304 stainless so the appearance will still be top notch. Are Flowmaster and Magnaflow pretty comparable when it come to quality and functionality?
Did I miss something? Did the price almost double in a matter of a week or so? I'm seeing much higher now. Just wondering how this will alter sound, because I love stock AVE sound with H-Pipe. I do love the addition of nice tips on it in lieu of trying to custom make some slip over tips.....Does that say $889 for an axleback?![]()
