I don't have a scanner. I'm hoping the dealer will have all the proprietary stuff to figure this out.
Hope so. Electrical gremlins can be nasty to chase.

Great. 🤬 The dealer will muck around and do nothing.

Personally, I think it may be heat related. It's getting pretty warm here in Central Florida.
My folks have been buying and driving Lincolns in Vencie and North Port for decades. He retired from Ford. No issues like this that were related to the heat. :)

Not sure what they use on todays Lincolns to sense door open but older ones had a door switch that would go bad and trigger false alarms.

… I had her lock the car when it was in the garage and walk away with the fob. I then tried to open each door with no alert. I then hit each door handle with my hand. Still no alert. About ten minutes later, the car horn started beeping. Unlock the car and it stops.
maybe try hitting/pulling on each door one at a time with a 10 minute pause between each? And then repeat the same if it triggers?

Tried that when it was in the garage. Nothing happened. About ten minutes later the alarm went off. Posted earlier previously.

Sorry, i understood it to be you pulled on one, nothing went to the next, nothing, next, nothing, next nothing and then 10 to 7 minutes later the alarm triggered. Was wondering if you jiggled one and waited 10 minutes (kinda slow alarm - assuming due to anomaly - they done gone with my car - but anyway) if it doesn’t trigger then try the next.

I'll try that.

Will the DEALER be able to figure it out via ODB II records? THAT'S my real question. If not, then we start the guessing game of latches and sensors.
If it is a connected vehicle which is sounds like is, it reports all DTC's to the cloud. PM me the VIN and I should be about to see the last 60 days worth of codes is has reported.

Faulty door switch. As an independent mechanic, I already know about this common issue so I'm going to say that a Lincoln service center knows about it. Take it in, get it fixed. It's and easy fix.

I hope you're right.
The local dealer called me around lunch time. They said they'd try to look at it this week. We took it in.

I did try this. Nothing. I'm still thinking heat related.

The dealer called me after lunch and "made space" for us. We'll see what happens.

An "open" door won't set a code, however the BCM does store any alarm events viewable as PIDs (lame mans terms "data") up to the last 4 events. I have no idea if Forscan can view these PIDs (I assume it can), but lower cost route.

Without being there, I'd assume a door latch (ajar switch is not serviced separate) or poor alarm wiring (dealer installed alarm - seen my fair share of bad wiring or shorted "modules"). We've been seeing some Fusions with mangled trunk wiring at the hinge too, and being as the Continental is on the same chassis, may be something to look at too. An easy test for a sticking ajar switch (sometimes) is have the key on, open and close each door a few times in quick succession, and keep an eye on the cluster for what door may be the culprit.

Yea, I tried to share that in post #2 and #9 ... :giggle:
I don't feel like there are many members on here who actually go through and read all previous posts/comments on a thread before they go and reply with their thought/solution, causing a mess of comments saying the same exact things.
