I've been told (no names please) that the Forscan tool doesn't work on an S650, yet it does. At least you can read most of the data you can see on the dash like boost, temps, etc. You obviously can't change anything due to the lock down. What I would like to be able to do, is graph (log) the readings.

I did set up my minicam to record the data, but it blinks due to the difference in scan rates of the display/CCD cam chip. Haven't tried my iPhone yet, perhaps they'll work better.

Ssssoooo.........................is there anyway to use forscan to lower my TPMS low pressure limit from 28 to 26/25 PSI (given the lockdown you mention) ; so my aftermarket tires (32 PSI vs 36 PSI for the OEM tires) aren't triggering the low pressure alert/dash light when the ambient temp drops a few degrees while I'm out in my GT? TY!

There is a Forscan section in the forum. We have all been using it for quite a while. I modified some things as early as Dec of 23. It probably worked before that. Just because it says it isn’t supported doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. That means the Forscan team isn’t giving customer support to the users with 24 vehicles.

FYI, it isn’t for tuning so the ECU lock down has nothing to do with Forscan.

make sure to check and download the most current version. I couldn’t update IPC until version ... .62 came out.

Modified numerous things with FORScan ~6 months ago.

I have never been able to get Forscan to actually write any changes.

Ecoboost base, built ~June 2024. I always default to the latest Forscan version and then tried 4-5 older ones too. Tried 3-4 adapters. 2 different laptops.

My car probably isn't unique and likely many other S650 owners simply haven't tried or posted about it. Ford may have done something different with the electronics/software depending on when the car was built. For what it's worth, my car is affected by the IPC black out recall, not sure if related.

My Eco-Boost came off the line 6/13/2024. Forscan does work to an extent (will not save squat!), and the screen has never blanked out. Perhaps I hold my mouth correctly? Or maybe it's because I worship the Sun rise every morning?

They list specific adapters on the website. If you're not using them, then use them. ODBII adapters aren't enough, and the website is very, very clear on this. I bought the cable they suggest from Amazon, and it works perfectly.

I can save to most modules, using the latest version, except for the body control module.

Has anyone access to the latest beta versions? I bought access, but never got my code, and emails go unanswered. If there is a beta, any success to BCM writes?

Interesting datapoints. Yes I'm using ForScan approved adapters, tried 2 different ones, multiples of one of them. Only tried writing to BCM and no changes would save (like Alan Applegate). So I guess I'm not the only one.

Hoping one day ForScan will update or catch up to whatever Ford is doing to block these changes. My tire size is off by .83% and it bothers me I can't correct it, because it's driving up my mileage higher than it needs to be

Yeah, I have a few things in the BCM I very much need to write. I may buy a mongoose.
