Does anybody knows if there are opened side air vents (dark horse style) for the GT?... I know RTR front grill has them but I don"t like the lights in there.

I just want a pair with the honey comb grill removed.

yeah a lot of the aftermarket grills don’t have an option for the front horse, might be because they don’t want to get sued or they’re just lazy idk but i’m not purchasing one until they figure out a way to let us keep it

I worked for Ford for quite a few years and while I was there there was a law passed around the artistry of components. Around 2014-15 I forget the exact terms, but this is why we get things that we call Easter eggs. They put copyrighted font items, logos, etc. on the car in conspicuous places (inside headlights, air boxes, trunks, glass, body panels, etc.) and this allows a version of a copyright on the part. Primarily focused on front end collision components and rear end collision components. In that law it states that any part with this (artistry) is protected and can’t be replicated for a period of time. Now I can’t remember exactly how long, but it is a period of time such as 3 years. Outside of that ruling there are the copyrights of logos, the pony would be one of those. An aftermarket company can apply to use it, but then would have to pay an agreed upon royalty back to Ford, if approved. Most of the time they are not approved. Between those two things, this can answer our mystery.

its approximately 15 to 20 years give or take for us patents. I'm not sure copyright is for car parts though it may be a thing if it is a specific to the manufacturer like an easter egg or specific sesign on a part.
